Personal preference on trowel size, but the way I see it, the 13” is perfect for getting even pressure on the the final wet trowel and polish. The steel that Marshalltown use is a match made in heaven when your gliding it across fresh plaster. Just feels right and leaves a fantastic finish. I’d say keep your guards for it, invest in a leather wallet even. Don’t chuck it on the bucket with the bucket towels! I’ve tried every flex trowel there is, nothing compares to the Marshalltown .. nothing. Period. Buy it look after it, only gets better with age.

Good trowel. It was advertised as an 18x5 and i got a18x4 & quarter. Was disappointed cause I wanted it for doing celling.

This is a great trowel. It puts a lovely finish on the plaster! My favourite trowel so far. 10/10

My mate ordered one and it came sound my one leaves lines, might just be where it’s not worn in but leaves lines in plaster that you can feel

Great trowel to use and very lightweight

Trowel was completely bent and unusable left a gauge in the final trowel up and cost me a days work not impressed the slightest

Arrived on time and not damaged 1st time.After using a lot of different trowels over the years as a professional plasterer I can say this trowel is probably the best “out the box” finishing trowel myself or plasterers I work with have come across.Unlike nela or refina finishing trowels this trowel feels already broken in, leaving only minimal lines.The price is great aswell.Only minor downside is that this trowel did NOT come with protective plastic strips to help protect it. I would have have expected these with such a top end trowel!
