Works like a charm!
Had a canvas top on the back of a 2006 Sun Tracker Party Cruiser that would leak like crazy in the rain. I wanted to get another season out of it prior to replacement and gave this a try. Wow! Last night it rained at least 2 inches and it was dry as a bone! Amazing stuff!

Great product.
This works really great one bottle was pretty for my little boat cover and even brought some color back to cover. Was streak free and no greasiness to it at all.

This stuff is the bomb!
I have a Classics Accessories boat cover that I bought from Amazon back in 2010 that is still in excellent condition. Unfortunately, its ability to repel water is no longer all it could be. Doing a little research, I came upon this product courtesy of the Sumbrella folks and thought I'd give it a try. There are basically two steps and you need at least one day when it isn't going to rain to get the full benefit. First, you clean your cover with 303 Products Fabric and Vinyl Cleaner. I bought the 32 oz size and hardly used any of it. A little goes a long way. I just wet down the cover on the boat with water, sprayed some cleaner on it, then scrubbed it with a soft boat brush on a pole. Hose it down well when you're done and walk away. Come back tomorrow. If it rains, no big deal. It's the application of the water repellent that requires 12 hours of sunshine; not the cleaner. The next day, I sprayed down the boat cover with the 303 Products High Tech Fabric Guard with Water Repellent. I used one of those $15 pump up sprayers that you use to spray Round Up in your yard and it took the whole gallon to treat my boat cover (which is on a 17' power boat). I walked away again. 12 hours later it was completely cured. This morning I stepped outside with a glass of water and threw it on the cover. The water blew off the cover like a hurricane was chasing it. Unbelievable! Talk about hydrophobic! I could not be more pleased. This isn't cheap but I can't see how anything else on the market could work better. It is incredibly effective. According to Sunbrella, I should be good for another three years, assuming the cover doesn't just wear out first. It sits in the sun out in the driveway every day the boat isn't actually on the water.

Great product! Clean up ALL over spray within fifteen seconds. Repellent effect lasts ~90 days
Update: The water proofing lasted about 90 days and was so-so at best. Yeah, the water would bead up... But if the bead sat on the fabric it just soaked right in after a minute or two. Once the product wore off completely it was noticeable- the top started to drink water like crazy. It's been 12 months now and the top absorbs so much water that it smells musty the following day after a rain or wash. I will say that I am simply blown away by the rich black color of the top in my review picture because it certainly isn't that black after it wears off! Even though I recently used a dye product to try and restore some color! So I'll definitely be ordering again today. And this time I will brush it on instead of using the spray. (Rating reduced from 5 stars to 4) Exceptional product! Restored the ten year old top on my Pontiac Solstice back to looking like new. Will update with product video after it dries. FYI, I sprayed wildly with the product with absolutely no regard for over spray on paint or glass. I had zero issues. I had a microfiber towel handy, and I made sure I let it sit for no more than fifteen seconds before wiping it off, and most importantly, I moved to a clean portion of the towel without residue between wipes. I got this stuff EVERYWHERE. And the back window was literally saturated with it after spraying the trim. Cleaned right up, no hazing or anything. If you DO miss some spots during wipe up, meguiars ultimate compound will remove it in seconds with no hard scrubbing or damage to paint or glass. It took roughly 5/6 of the bottle to do a deep saturation on my two seater. But the top had clearly lost its water repelling effects years ago - so your milage may vary.

Not a drop of rain came through our awning!!!
We just bought a used 2001 Newmar Dutchstar motorhome and the fabric awning leaked like a sieve! Whenever it rained everything under the awning, including us, got wet. I researched numerous products and through an RV forum found a recommendation for 303 Fabric Guard. We also bought the 303 cleaner. Cleaned the awning one day and let it dry overnight. The next day we sprayed this on the awning. (we bought the 128 Fl oz bottle and used a pump sprayer like you use for weed killer and put it on the lowest setting so it came out like a heavy mist). We covered the areas of the motorhome that were close to the awning to prevent overspray from getting on the paint and windows and then sprayed the awning. It probably took longer to cover the areas of the MH that we didn't want to get sprayed then it did to spray the awning. Spraying the awning probably took about 30 minutes. This is the only product I have ever used that tells you to do it in direct sunlight! Lucky for us it's been hot and sunny! We had to wait over a week to see if it worked though because it hasn't rained for several weeks. Last night it rained so we stood under the awning and not a drop of rain came through!! Yay!!! 303 Fabric Guard works great! We will have to wait and see how long it will last. I am hoping to get a few years out of it before we need to do it again. This is an honest review from a motorhome owner and I am not being paid to give this review. I would definitely recommend this product. The price is very good especially comparing it to buying several cans of Scotchguard or something similar and the product works as well as they claim it does!

Wish I knew before using that...
303 is the only brand I've used so I can't fairly compare it, but I can say it works as good (if not better) than anything I could ask for. I do however have some tips I wish someone had warned me of: 1)You'll use much more protectant than cleaner. One 16oz cleaner has thoroughly cleaned my top 3 times, whereas I needed almost all 16 of protectant to do one "decent" job. The second time I did it, I went crazy with the protectant. Used about twice as much; it actually looked like it would be pretty bad, but the results were spectacular. I'm sure there's a limit to how much can be used, but it's not less than 25oz. for a small car. Don't pour it on, but don't be cheap with the spray (you'll be glad). 2)The instructions tell you this, but it bears clarification: You need at least 6hrs of DRY WARMTH for it to cure. They recommend a sunny day over 70 degrees, but the warmer and dryer it is the faster it'll work; curing can take 12hrs if conditions aren't ideal and where I live, there's lots of overnight condensation on less than really dry days. This will ruin your application (it will settle unevenly). Do NOT drive it while curing either or dirt will "glue" itself to your top. 3)Speaking of glue, this stuff settles on your paint like some kind of super rubber cement; it'll rub off...eventually. The second time I did it I covered my paint with old bed sheets (saved me a LOT of clean up). It will wash off, but only with a stiff sponge and lots of elbow grease, so don't freak out about your paint, but save yourself the headache and cover up. Also low wind would be ideal (it is a spray) so maybe a garage would work (though outside worked fine for me). Do it right, and your top will look newer, have a deeper, richer color, and shear water like its made of Teflon. I always make sure to get a good coating before the winter comes to rip my top a hole. Great stuff.

Boat Cover Sheds Water Like New After One Treatment, No More Puddling on Top
Our boat cover had gotten to the point where rain just sat in puddles across the top instead of running off, worried it was slowly soaking through and encouraging mildew underneath during storage. Grabbed the gallon size specifically to treat the whole cover since it's a big piece of fabric and I didn't want to run out halfway through. Sprayed it on while the cover was laid out flat and fully dry, made sure to get even coverage across the whole surface including the seams where water tends to sit longest. Let it cure overnight before covering the boat back up like the instructions suggested. First real rain after treating it made the difference obvious, water beads right up and rolls off the sides instead of pooling on top waiting to soak in. No more coming out to check on standing water after a storm, which was my main worry with our old faded treatment. Cover still feels normal, not stiff or crunchy like I was a little worried a fabric treatment might leave it, folds and stores the same as before. Only complaint is you really do need calm, dry weather to apply it properly, had to wait a few days for the right window rather then just doing it whenever I had free time. Great fix for a cover that was starting to soak through instead of shedding water like it should. Applys easy but there is definitly some odor so do it in the wind if you can. Not sure its safe to huff in.

Good product. Cheap squirt bottle.
The product seems to work well. The sprayer broke during second use though. Now I have to buy a second squirt bottle to use the rest of it.

Useless sprayer
The product itself is great and works well but they put a cheap sprayer on the bottle that leaks, doesn't not spray an even pattern and will completely collapse and break down so that it doesn't work at all. I have had this happen on every bottle I have purchased. Not good with the cost of the product.

Keeps our boat looking good.
We apply this every year to the canvas cockpit enclosure of our boat. By sealing the fabric, we keep the cockpit dry, but also slow down the development of mold and stains on the canvas.
