The package was delivered safely, with the item in one piece. The coconut oil smells and tastes fresh. Unrefined, virgin coconut oil is better than refined because it preserves more antioxidants, and is processed without chemicals. It also has a higher amount of lauric acid, which has antimicrobial properties. I'm using this product for oil pulling as part of a complete oral-care regimen. Coconut oil may help reduce some bacteria in the mouth, and may contribute to fresher breath and improved oral cleanliness. I consider oil pulling a supplement to, rather than a replacement for, regular brushing, flossing, and professional dental care. A tablespoon (or teaspoon if a tablespoon is too much for you) of coconut oil can be swished in the mouth for 5-10 minutes (or longer if you're capable, although this isn't necessary) daily in the morning before eating or drinking anything. Remember to rinse with warm water afterward, then brush your teeth. Spit out the oil in the trash because it can clog pipes.
