Such a great Christmas gift for my brother in law for his basement!! He planned to place them around his weight bench. Last I heard, he said they were great! Easy and quick to assemble! Well made and thick! And easy to clean.

Pros:Product is ok for the price. It went together well and all pieces fit nicely together.The thickness is right under .5 of an inch.Nice padding for exercise underneath feet.Cons:Diamond plate texture on top is quite slippery for MMA activities. After walking on the mats and entering another room your feet feel very slick and seem to be covered in a film. It did have a slight chemical smell to them. I scrubbed the top of the tiles with a carpet brush and warm soap water. It did seem to get the film off.If you have tile floor you have to, HAVE TO, get an underlay. The pieces will slip like you steped on a bananna peel with out one. So I went to Walmart and bought a rug underlay. It was $19.97 and it worked perfectly to help it from slipping from underneath you.In conclusion,It's nice padding, so far the pieces seem to be holding together. I'll update my review after doing more workouts, the joints might need tape. There is a slippery chemical film on the top layer that is slick and will stick to feet. You have to purchase a rug underlay for this product to not slip out from underneath you.One of the images shows how the joints have a layer of glossy film on them and the tile it self no longer does. This is because I cleaned the tiles and not the joints to keep water out of them.

I bought several packs of these to cover our hardwood floors when my 80-yr-old husband came home from the hospital after a major operation. These are great for seniors who are afraid of falling on hard floors. Walkers work well on them and they are very comfortable for walking in socks. They have a cushiony give, but are springy with responsive and firm support. The thickness is a great buffer against hard floors, much better than padded carpeting. The surface is not slippery. Very easy to clean with a small vacuum and spills wipe up easily without absorbing or staining. Easy to cut with scissors for a custom fit. Absolutely love these to walk on and wish I could cover every hard surface in the world wtih them.Caution: the mat WILL SLIDE if you have polished floor underneath and don't install wall-to-wall or wedge in place against furniture that doesn't move. So be sure mat is secure if using for someone who has balance issues.

The ProSource Puzzle Exercise Mats are good for home use. They are a little soft compared to commercial and industrial rubber exercise mats. These are more foam rubber material. They are best on a flat surface which works well.I also have them placed on a carpeted surface in a room and cover the whole room, and they work good, but sometimes gap a little over-time. They do feel great when doing exercises. They give you a gym like feel working on them. If you have them over carpet, they definitely feel better than exercising on carpet that's for sure. If you place them on concrete, I doubt they would move or gap at all. On a smooth surface like hardwood flooring, they might gap a little. But, you can always use duct tape underneath to tape them together as back-up to keep them firmly together.Placing equipment on these are fine, but they will sink into the foam, so expect that. The foam does go back to normal over-time if you move equipment and leave an indentation. If you place equipment over them on a carpeted surface, it does cause some mild gapping between tiles where they connect since they are soft and the carpet is not a firm surface allowing movement.They are not commercial or industrial rubber mats, so don't expect them to be when you get them. I would not say they are cheap, but they are pretty much like the ones you can buy in the stores which are the soft foam rubber kind like these. They are priced as expected. If you have Amazon Prime, the 2-day Free shipping is nice. They are kinda on the thin-side to me at 1/2" thickness. But, they are thick enough to make a big difference when you exercise.If you are looking for high-quality commercial or industrial rubber mats, these are not them. Industrial rubber mats are expensive.

For home gym use, I would go with something a bit more sturdy. It is comfortable to stand on, but the interlocking mechanism is pretty weak, and if you're wearing shoes on it, it will likely get torn up. I have not had it long and it's already not holding up great. It is doing its job at protecting my floor well, and at a cheap price, but I'm concerned about longevity.
