Grizzly oscilating sander
Product arrived in great shape. Very well built. Operates as hoped for. Only negative thing is the wrenches provided to change out the spindles/drums are very low quality. They "stretched" the first time I tried to use them. Had to go out and purchase a 30 MM and a 1 1/4 wrench. Other than that. love the machine. Would buy it again.

Lookout, a big design flaw.
I've used a small bench top spindle sander for years, and finally sprung for a larger one. (My work is getting bigger) This works great, very quiet, very powerful. The large tabletop is perfect. The MAJOR drawback is the dust collection system. It is useless. It might as well not even have one. It does not work at all. I had to make individual inserts just to seal up the hole to get some suction, and even then, nothing. A major design flaw in my opinion. I would have loved to give this five stars, but a working dust collector, ESPECIALLY on a sander, is a must.

Great Machine
This machine is a beast. Mine gets rough use and doesn't break down. The only things I might mention is don't tighten the spindle too tight into its threaded socket. I did this and had to replace the entire spindle attachment assembly. Also keep the socket and the attachment area of the spindle clean

Not quite out of the box plug and go, but still worth it.
This is a really nice machine. That said, I made one fix and two modifications. At full tilt, the cast iron table hit the spindle base - the large shiny cylinder in the front view. A bit of filing on the inside edge of the cast iron solved it. Mod 1 was to make an insert for smaller spindles. The smallest one is about 1" and leaves a large gap to the smaller ones. Mod 2 was to add a plywood shelf inside the base to hold the various inserts. This was just a drop in piece of plywood. The sander runs very smoothly, the table has a very nice finish. Spindles are easy to change. Tilt is easy to change - this is a feature I use a lot. I could find no other machine with this range of spindle sizes and as robust a table support.

Great machine so far
Unit arrived as scheduled without damage. Assembly was not difficult and was more assembled than anticipated. I have only used it a short time but it seems that the table and spindles are at 90 degress to each other. Sanding seems to be better than expected. Takes a little time to removed the coating on the top that prevents rust but all I all I am pleased with the unit.

dust collection not very good, will have to fabricate something
very quiet. dust collection not very good, will have to fabricate something. Smaller spindles not long enough. Wrenches are junk, if you put light oil on taper and hand tighten, you rarely need a wrench. Very expensive machine, but saves me a lot of sanding time $$$$$.
