I should of bought this one first. I hada lipo balance - would not shut off ruined battery. Way easier to use . Shut off when done. Batteries don't over heat. This is the one to go

I had a need to maintain a car acid battery at home, so for the convenience of charging and discharging my battery, I was looking for a modern device for such an application, focusing on the quality of design, workmanship and omnivorousness of various chemical types of batteries. This determined the choice of the Tenergy T180 100 W balance charger, RC touch screen charger for NiMH/NiCd/Li-Po/Li-Fe batteries, durable metal case, LiPo battery charger with Tamiya/JST/EC3/ connectors HiTec/Deans. .During operation, I highly appreciated the excellent thermal design, which allows me to avoid heating inside and outside the device when working with significant powers, as well as the unconditional ease of use of the touch screen, which eliminates buttons that sometimes cause operator errors. I was also pleased with the flexible architecture of the charging-discharging-storage process, which allows the use of non-standard protocols when working with “sick” batteries.The flexibility of use of the T180 device is limited only by the “Safety Timer” range of 0-720 minutes, the triggering of which interrupts a longer process and requires a restart.In response to my request to the Support Service with a request to either increase the timer range or add the ability to disable it, the answer was that it is necessary to use standard procedures, and formally this is true, but not only for this I bought this wonderful device with a slightly unfinished brain, which is called firmware .

Much easier to navigate the menus than the typical B6 type chargers, no external power supply, plus you can store battery profiles which is great if you have a mix of different LIPO's ( transmitter, different drones etc). The multiple battery/balance connectors are good to have as well!!

This is an essential piece of equipment if you want your LiPo batteries to last. The charger makes it easy to balance charge any battery and also charge/discharge batteries for storage. It also charges an 11.1v 1100mah LiPo fairly quickly, around 20 to 30 minutes. Charging a battery is a fairly easy process. First, you select the type of battery whether its a LiPo, NiMh, NiCD etc. Then you input the number of Volts and the Mah Capacity which should be labeled on your battery. The charger will automatically detect how many cells it has once you plug it in. then you hold on the CHRG button and it will commence charging. Once it's done charging to will beep to alert you it's done charging. My only complaint is that it does not have an on or off button. Once you plug it in, it automatically turns on and if you want to turn it off you will have to unplug it. It does not have a standby mode either so once it's plugged in the screen is on full brightness until you unplug it.Do not settle for the cheaper $20 balance chargers because they can only charge your battery and not discharge them for storage. This will result in your LiPos inflating and losing its ability to hold a charge. Once you are done using your battery you must discharge it for storage. What this means is, the battery will be discharged to a safe level for storage where it will have a little bit of charge but not completely drained. Completely draining your battery will also result in your battery losing its ability to hold a charge. This is why this charger is so important for the longevity of your batteries. I use to replace LiPos every two months when using a $20 smart charger. Now I am still using my LiPos I purchased half a year ago without issues after using this charger to charge and drain my batteries. I highly recommend you get this charger. It's easy to use and very well built.

They’re great for deep cycling batteries. Even though not recommended, I personally used them to check the individual battery cells on my hybrid. Was able to rule out which cells were bad (not holding the needed mAh). Was able to change out the affected cells and saved thousands vs having the dealer replace the whole unit.One glitch to note is when doing multiple cycles within the NiMH section of the menu, you need to make sure the number of cycles is highlighted before you press start. If you don’t do this, the charger won’t understand that you’re doing multiple charges and it will only do one cycle. Annoyance but once you figure it out it’s smooth sailing.

Works as advertised

This one charger replaced several chargers. One box that has charged and gave useful informaiion on every cell and battery pack I have charged with it. It even replaced my old DC power supply. The only output that I found missing is a USB charging port. But everyone probably has several USB chargers. Had there been one on the new charger, it would have eliminated one more device on my charging table. The USB port on the unit is for updating the unit and interfacing with a computer monitoring software, which I do not have.

I don’t write very many reviews.I should because I go by that a lot when I buying stuff on Amazon.I am a fairly new RC person not a beginner but don’t know as much as I should especially about batteries.people needs to realize there is a lot to Lipo batteries. but they’re not that complicated when you learn them this charger takes all the guess work out of it. I really love it because it balances them as well as puts them in storage mode. and it does all of them 2.to 6s all the way up. anyway you can’t go wrong with this little charger it’s a great charger for the money.
