1.5m/60" Round Fabric Tape Measure with Casing

This is a well made compact size tape measure.It can easily fit in any drawer or carried round in purse or handbag.Well made, good quality, retractable, so useful for measuring things when shopping or in the home.Recommended.

What a lovely, smart and easy to use tape measure. So much better that traditional tailors' tape measures, which twist and don't lie flat when you are trying to measure something. This is small, with a useful storage system, and lightweight. I use mine for when I am selling things on eBay, as you can easily take a photo of it on a hard surface, because it doesn't twist or move. Very useful, and I have bought another to keep at work, as it has so many uses. Almost forgot to add that it is super-cheap and arrived within two days of order.

This little Tape Measure is spot on.Clearly marked in CM or Inches (Both sides) it has a black button in the middle which you push to pull the tape and when you release it it locks the measurement in place. Hold the button in again and it reels the tape back in. Great idea.It's truly a pocket size Tape Measurer which is good for me as I'm forever misplacing my existing Tape every time I put it down and go to use it again. Never liked the clip on pocket ones, I always ended up knocking into things with it attached to me so being able to pop it into my pocket is a right touch!Couldn't tell you what sort of material the actual tape is, almost a rubber like fabric. Not sure how to explain it, sorry. But it isn't metal which means no more slicing of fingers.A downside of it is, if you are working alone on something that needs to be measured at a certain distance, it does NOT have a kink at the start of it like most metal Tape Measurer's, so you won't be able to hook it and pull it.... Slight inconvenience but it does have a gap in the tip which allows you to hold it in place with either a pin or nail and measure up that way and also allowing you to hang it up when not in use.The length of the Tape is, 150 cm or 60inHaving used it a few times now, the mechanism feels strong and sturdy and should last a fair amount of time. Considering it's only £1.90 you honestly can't go wrong.

I almost feel stupid for posting a review for a low cost product with only one purpose - in this case to measure! I have decided to review it though and it is a very useful product for certain applications. What are they? Well when buying clothes you need certain measurements such as neck size for shirt collars, head measurement for head gear, chest size for shirts and jackets (OK I'm a bloke - but bust size too for ladies) and waist measurement - don't mention that in my case as the tape just about get's around my waste! Nevertheless measurements that you simply cannot make accurately with a steel tape.I find it so useful that I actually keep my fabric tape in one of my tool boxes as I have on occasions found using it the best way to measure awkward situations for some of my DIY projects.In my view this is a cheap and cheerful tape measure which is extremely handy and useful for specific purposes. Will it stretch? I expect it will over time, but then simply order another. Not something to use on a wet building site for pin-point accuracy but for a low cost functional item for occasional use and "sneaky personal body measurement" I would certainly recommend it - even if you don't intend modelling clothes on the Paris catwalk!Jeff.

It seems to be robust and the mechanism has yet to fail. With a diameter of a little over 5cm and a thickness of around 1.5cm, it's very small and easily transportable. My only little niggling complaint is the fact that the 'zero' point isn't at the end of the tape (it's exactly as shown in the picture). I'm sure that this is good for some people, but I find it to be a nuisance. I'd rather than the measurement start at the end of the buckle. I guess that's down to personal preference. It certainly isn't enough of an issue for me to deduct any stars. At this price, I think that it's a bargain.

Button has stopped doing anything. :( I've barely used it. I've had it just over a year but most of that time it has been sitting my sewing box. I finally have materials and a sewing machine so I got it out to use, but now the button just moves the tape in about 1cm and no more. I'm stuck with the tape just dangling. Will have to throw it away.It worked nicely when I had it. It would have been four or even five stars had it lasted.I bought it from the seller: Ashprintlondonltd. It may not be their fault, possibly I was just unlucky and got a dodgy one.I know it was cheap but I expected it to last better. Had it cost more my rating would have been 2/5.

This is a lovely little product. It's quite like a builders one, in that it pulls out and locks it's position (not in a rigid way though). But it is tiny and thin and very portable. It wont tangle like most tape measure and it fits nicely in any pocket.The only thing I would change is to have it start at 0. 0 kicks in a little way up the tape, but maybe that is standard practice? Overall, I'd recommend.

Poor quality - does it retract and jams. Don’t waste your money.
