Lion Brand Yarn Color Made Easy Yarn, Basalt

Purchased this yarn in Shade to make a beanie and I am obsessed. I honestly thought I purchased the wrong thing at first because this feels so different than the Bernat Roving bulky yarn I have been using. But the yarn is soft, beautiful, and such good quality. It doesnt get as fuzzy as the roving yarn, so the stitch detail is much stronger. And I am not sure why others think this is expensive because the ball is huge. I can easily make 3 beanies with this, whereas the Bernat is about the same cost but only makes 2 small beanies. Both are great options, but I am really happy with this!

The only downfall with this yarn it doesn't come in to many colors. The blanket I am using is in white, pink lemonade, blue moon and horizon. They look very nice together, especially the horizon. It is more of a light purple. This yarn is nice to work with and hardly any splitting.

I used this to make my eidelweiss beanie and it turned out beautiful. It's very comfortable and it's great for hats. Not really the best for snoods because it's so stiff but overall, I would suggests it for hats.

This is a beautiful chunky yarn and made a lovely afghan for my soon to be daughter in law. I wish the yarn were easier to come by and a bit less expensive, but it still gets 5 stars for the quality and consistent color and weave.

I purchased all the skeins they had at my local Joann's and when I went to order it again it was no longer available. It has a vivid sheen that adds that something special to any project.

Good price, gorgeous color. True to the picture. It's not as soft as I would like, but it will be just fine for the blanket I'm making. No splitting, and a good weight.

I really like this yarn and when I went to buy more Lion Brand discontinued it. Thanks to Amazon I was able to pick up a few skeins but the colors are obscure. The ones I would have really liked are already gone. If you can find it, you will like it.
