Does not come with a damper flap
The product does not come with the damper flap even though the instructions say install the damper flap. (See Photos) This means you will get backdraft from outside into your kitchen if you connect the unit to existing external ducting. The supplied outlet is designed to take a clip-in damper flaps, having two locators directly opposite each other. I can only assume the manufacturers have left the damper flaps off either by accident, or for lack of the part, or in order to encourage the purchase of SIA external duct kits. SIA need to contact the manufacturers as this is a glaring omission. When pressed, SIA just say it doesn't come with a damper flap. The third photo shows the type of damper flap that should be supplied with the unit.
