In the picture it shows 2 planes, are there 2 planes?

No just one. My five year old loves the plane. He loves all "airline" planes and doesn't care if they have plastic wings..

Do you think it’ll be to heavy to be a cake topper

It is made out of metal, but I think it would be okay as a cake topper.

What’s the difference between the original and limited edition? The picture is the same.

this model has never been issued as a limited edition. It has always been an open stock item. It sounds like a seller that is not being truthful in their listing!

Is this a model kit or already assembled?

This comes already assembled and painted. What you see in the photos is how the model will look when you take it out of the box.
