Zero regrets I made the swap.
Enhanced clarity and sustain on my Gibson L-5 WesMo. All notes throughout the instrument are somehow speaking/ singing out better than they had. Notes sound a little thicker and meatier now as well. I'm loving that. The gold plated steel T-O-M saddle that came on the guitar from the Custom Shop when I got it seemed if anything a little too bright and brash to my ears (particularly on the B and E strings.) This was my take on things acoustically, before I even plugged it in. I was after a more mellow, burnished thing. This bridge and saddle combo serve the purpose of mellowing things the way I'd hoped it would. But t did this without me sensing I'd really sacrificed anything at all. I'm noting an evening and balancing effect on the instrument. It was a wonderful and very resonate instrument before I made the swap. But swapping out to this bridge with these saddles proved a notable enhancement bumping things up at least another level. It fit on the bridge base perfectly. And there was zero issue in the setup effort and intonating it perfectly. I HIGHLY doubt that I could achieve the overall net benefits and results I know now with either an ebony or rosewood saddle. I actually tried a rosewood saddle and found I preferred this. That doesn't fully make sense to me. But that's was my experience.

Quite nice. Easy to set up
Just some small things. Make sure you apply solid pressure to the intonation screw when adjusting. It likes to come out while turning.Also. It’s really light. Aluminum maybe? I amNever quite sure, but I believe mass and weight ‘should be’ better. Who knows?Otherwise. Pretty slick. Looks great with a TP-6.Sounds great! I like the notches were cut perfectly ready to go.We will see how this goes and holds up.

Sustain .....
I installed this bridge on an "80 Les Paul Standard, which had incredible sustain, and all of the attributes of this guitar blasted out of the galaxy. I also installed the matching tail piece. worth the investment.

Solved my string break problem with my Les Paul
I have a Les Paul Custom. I was breaking strings during live shows constantly! Drove me crazy!!! I am an aggressive player. I installed this bad boy a month ago and have not broke a string since!! Well worth the money. The tone and playability with this bridge is great too!

Easy yet significant LP tonal/tuning stability upgrade
I just put my second one in, first was a Gibson ES-335 and I was amazing by how much of a difference it made. I've tried roller bridges (typically seen on Bigsby tremolo equipped guitars and should probably be used only with these). Not so great, I found the tone to be oddly thinner, and the string were more likely to pop off the saddles (oddly as one would think the opposite, perhaps due to my setup). First, this bridge allows for more harmonic content, a touch more depth and richness. Fortunately, as I was slightly worried there could be a loss of brightness and attack not being "metal on metal" they sang out with improved balance, just as bright, more refined, with some beautiful harmonic overtones that where not nearly as present prior to upgrade. Second, less "kapink" type stuff happening when tuning and bending at the bridge, therefore less string break potential, the strings move smoother, bind less. Third, the saddles are not made of metal, so they don't rust and wear like metal, appear much more durable over the long haul, sweat, oil from hands corroding these parts are less an issue. Lastly, especially when combined with locking tuners (and a better graphite/bone nut if you can go to that expense), tuning stability is vastly improved. Which was really my primary goal. Strings stretch faster with a new set to get to where they are going to be...and tend to stay that way much better through aggressive playing, bending, etc. Almost all of this is due to this one upgrade. Just put a second one on my 78 Les Paul Custom and woah...same improvements, actually even better. These are a no brainer for Les Paul's really, now a must have on all for me.
