Great for the cost!
Best phone I've been able to find for the cost! Works great. No complaints so far.

Great value, speaker weak
First I want to say, I love this phone. Previous to this phone I had a galaxy S9 so I am directly comparing this to that phone because I purchased this phone due to the similar specs. The processing speed and connection is about even on this phone as it was on my Galaxy phone. The only things that I don't believe are on par with the Samsung device is the speaker. A better quality speaker would be preferred. Also though the camera is good. It is less than what is desired for an HD camera. Beyond those 2 items this is an amazing phone and I am happy with my purchase and is well worth the money spent.

quality control issues
I bought two of these BLU G9 phones: One Blue and One Black. After 6 months, the blue one is still working fine, but the black one either doesn't consistently charge or says it's charging but it's not. Other reviews confirm this model has charging port issues and BLU no longer even sells this model. A cell phone's charging port shouldn't stop randomly working 6 months in. I am working on getting a refund and will update this if I run into issues there.

Dependable and affordability,upscale features
It's a reasonable price phone, with upscale features, I only use Blu products, because of their affordability and their ability to last for a while,if you use one,you pretty much don't have to relearn how to use a new Blu phone, and I love that.

Some stuff is good, but when WIFI doesn't work well... it's a brick
There were things I liked about this phone, but when the wifi connection was hit or miss, and I was constantly waiting for the screen to reload when on Facebook (which is the main thing I use the internet on the phone for), the only thing to do was send it back. I don't know if it was a problem with just the one I got or not, but I wasn't willing to risk ordering another one. I had one Blu phone I really REALLY liked (the Life One X2 Mini), which I lost on vacation when it flew from the 5th floor balcony of the hotel to the asphalt below. It was the perfect size for my hand, perfect weight, took perfect pictures... great at surfing the internet on wifi, very fast... The only two drawbacks were volume issues (too low, sometimes) and connecting to our cell provider, which is a 3rd party reseller for ATT. But the pictures were phenomenal. I wish I could have replaced it with a similar model, but by the time I accidentally murdered it, so many newer versions of Android had come out I thought it best to go with something newer. This was my third attempt to find one I really like. I'm on my second Blu phone (a Vivo XI) and need to go with something lighter weight. I wound up with a terrible case of 'trigger thumb' this past December (I'd had the new phone for maybe a month or two) and I truly think it is from the weight of the phone. The size is nice, but it weighs a lot more than the old X2 Mini.

There is NO DARK MODE
Dark Mode/Dark Theme just isn't a thing on this phone. I spoke to the company and they confirmed this model does not have dark mode/theme compatibility unless you download from a third-party app - but even then, the apps does not work on your system settings and they come with really ugly app icons and widgets you can't avoid. Almost everything in this phone's system/settings is a bright white. If you have light sensitivity, you are going to absolutely hate this phone. In it's defense, all other features were fine (except you aren't able to customize your own lock screen which can also be important to most users). The absence of a Dark Mode/Dark Theme is just a big deal breaker.

BLU has turned a corner
I have bought a few BLU phones on the past and wound up returning them but this one is definitely a keeper. It delivers all the features I want in a phone and more. I'd say it's better than any Samsung phone I've owned in the past. Videos and pictures are very crisp and clear. I only wish the keyboard was a better one. Very very satisfied with the phone

Not worth the personal aggravation. More issues than benefits.
I have used cell phones since the early 1990's, so am no novice. Have owned, probably 20 plus phones from every major company except Apple (Samsung, Blackberry, Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson, Sony, etc.) My job required a 24/7 tether, so I have come to dislike cell phones. To be clear, I use this as a phone, I do not surf, game, photograph, FB, tweet, bank, etc. on a phone. I have some music/videos installed that I access only if I am in a waiting room. I bought this as an upgrade from my Samsung 4 mini, as the battery would shortly need replacement and, with the text explosion, the small keyboard was a pain. What I like about this unit is the bright screen and large keyboard, good text autofill, comes with screen protector and rubber case - and that's all I like. The battery can not be user replaced. Tremendous amount of crapware comes installed and some can not be removed (e.g. Amazon). Had incredible difficulty trying to import contacts as I refuse to upload personal info to Google - so had to employ a work around. Unable to sync with my existing phone, as it was not recognized. The clock function never worked, though I had correct time zone and set it for ISP sync. Finally entered time manually. My PC does not recognize the unit, it appears as only an empty 'drive", but will not install any content. Unit shows my sim card is installed, but does not allow me to access it. Call software does not let you delete numbers unless you mark it spam. Deleting text takes 4 steps and you must do it individually for each string. For incoming items, if you do not hear the announcement, you are not aware you've been contacted - trying to see if there's a way to change this to a recurring announcement tone - no luck so far. Bottom line - this phone may work for you, depending on your needs. The hardware seems okay, but the software needs major work. Will go back to my Samsung with a stylus and keep this one for short trip travel as it's large enough to handle some tasks, if i don't want to carry my tablet.
