The Silentnight Diamond Mattress Topper is hypoallergenic which means it does not contain any materials that are likely to cause allergies. At Silentnight we understand the importance of a good night’s sleep and this starts with choosing the right bedding. Mattress toppers can help to increase the longevity and comfort of your existing mattress. When choosing the right topper, you need to consider what you need from a topper. For example, if it’s extra support for your back and limbs that you need, memory foam is the most effective material to help holding the shape of your body and supporting your natural posture. In addition, the thickness of a topper is important in determining how much support it will provide you. Silentnight are the UK’s most trusted sleep brand with over 70 years’ experience in creating products to help the whole family get that ‘great sleep’ feeling.

Comfy and a good night's sleep.
Pillow is surprisingly comfortable, considering the very firm feel, but I think it could have been a bit fuller as it is quite flat. My neck has been less painful in the mornings but has not stopped hurting altogether. I might try a thin pillow underneath and see if it improves matters! Nights have been less disturbed as no need to adjust pillow or replump at all. On the whole I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great for snoring partners!
Purchased this to replace pillow for my husband who is a side sleeper, he finds it has good support and very comfy. Read the reviews about potentially helping snoring and thought It was worth a try. Really, really impressed, didn’t think it was possible but this has genuinely reduced his snoring meaning better sleep for me!

At best no different and at worse far less comfortable than my existing (orthopaedic) pillow
The product page describes this as suitable for back and slide sleepers. The small booklet attached to the packaging (which rather oddly had no slider on the zip closure and so we had to pull it apart manually - also, what a huge amount of plastic to throw into landfill) also has a section on what pillow to choose which also says this type is suitable for back and side sleepers, but the same booklet later on says it's for side sleepers.Mrs E. L. Wisty swiped this pillow before I had any chance to try it (I was very keen to because I'm currently going through one of my periodic episodes of upper back and neck problems which cause issues with trying to get comfortable and restful sleep), and she said it's far better for back sleeping than side sleeping, because on your back you are "higher up" with the head more central and supported, than on your side with the head further down towards the edge. When I did manage to wrest it off Mrs E. L. Wisty and try to sleep with this I found that back sleeping actually made my neck problem much worse as it was pushing my head up too much and increasing the strain on my neck, and side sleeping with this gives me no benefit whatsoever.I have been using one of those orthopaedic pillows with a hollow along the middle and raised edges (one edge being raised more than the other) which served me well though it seems to have lost its mojo rather and gone a bit flat thus losing the benefit. Mrs E. L. Wisty is welcome to this Sealy pillow, but for myself I'll probably need to get another proper orthopaedic pillow.

Well-designed pillow that justifies its high price
This is probably the most expensive pillow I’ve tried. I like it a lot, but unfortunately so does Mrs Gumby, so I’ll have to buy at least one more! Our previous pillows were very good (and pricey), with a foam core surrounded by down. This one from Sealy is distinctly superior. It really does provide excellent, firm head support while holding your neck gently. I tend to go to sleep on my side and wake on my back. The pillow works well in either position and doesn’t get squashed out of shape. The mesh around the perimeter is a clever way of improving breathability. The cover is quilted and can be removed for machine washing, so there’s no need for a separate pillow protector. Unlike another reviewer, we both found the cover perfectly comfortable. It’s a little on the large side but that’s perhaps to allow for shrinkage in the wash. We’ll find out in due course.Based on experience so far, we’re delighted and feel this pillow is worth paying for.
