Beyond disappointed. Read a ton of product reviews on many different skimboards before choosing the BPS skimboard. Practically every review raved about how amazing this skimboard was. Well, it wasn't amazing for my 7 year old. During the FIRST USE, the board started peeling and warping in more than 1 place. I don't know if we just got a defective or improperly made skimboard, but the one we received is a piece of garbage. I am returning immediately and back on the hunt for a new one. See attached pictures if you want an idea about the quality of this board. On a positive note......the company has been wonderful about the return and went above and beyond to make sure I am a happy customer. They assure me that this is a fluke incident and not the norm. They stand behind their products 100%, and for that reason I am giving them another try with a new board. I will update review once we give the new skimboard a try. ****UPDATE***** got the new skimboard, and took it out on the lake 3 times now......NO ISSUES AT ALL! Works perfectly and now my 7 year old is a very happy camper!

Ordered this for my son for his birthday. The item arrived quickly and the company emailed me the day it was delivered to see if I was satisfied with my purchase. I received another email a few days later just checking in on the product. This is a company that stands behind their product. My son expressed interest in skimboarding but we didn't want to invest in an expensive board if he didn't like it. This is a great board especially for beginners. I love that it doesn't need to be waxed. My son used it all weekend. Very happy with our purchase and with the customer service from the company.

My son loves this board. It is good for many hours of skimming on the beach. I never like the boards that required waxing, never held up and it is one more item you need to bring to the beach. This is the perfect product. Grip is good and I think this shape actually works better. Again, my son loves this board. Highly recommend it.

Not as advertised, disappointed! I order the board with foam gripping for $48 and I got a all wood board that still needs traction pads! I saw pictures In the reviews on this listing of a board with foam grip and this is not the case, had a 1 small nick in the board.

My 9 year old loved this board. It took him some time to figure it out but that was also fun. He took to it within 1/2 an hour and the fun lasted several hours. It is a good quality. We have used it several times and it is still in good shape. My son is the true test of quality!

The product looks like a decent skimboard, but the varnish on the bottom of the board is poorly applied. I saw the high rating this product had when I bought it, and was unpleasantly surprised to see a disconnect with the quality in person. The board has marks and discolorations along the bottom as well as patchy varnish, which means the board might have "sticky patches" where the unvarnished portions come into contact with the sand. I may simply return it and wait for a new one, since this one may be a mistake, but I would still take into consideration that this is a very cheap skimboard, so don't expect a high quality product.

These boards are awesome. We have both a colored board with the foam grip and the wooden one. My boys love using them on the carpet in the living room. We have yet to take them to the beach(waiting on warmer weather). The company is awesome!!! I contacted them and they went above and beyond to fix the problem. Very happy with this purchase and the company. Will definitely be purchasing from them again.

The board endured a mere three hours at beach, shared among three under weight 13 year old boys. Let's see if Gator steps up to remedy.
