It is grease
This is an NLGI Grade 2 lithium grease from a reputable brand. It’s the most basic kind. Its function falls somewhere between snake oil and blood of the Savior. The tube fits nicely inside a grease gun. I squirted into some ball joints on my car. If you are here for a Ford X1-G-E1 equivalent, that is fortified with a little bit of moly. So the light blue or gray tube Valvoline moly-fortified grease would be more comparable.

Good grease cartridge for home use
This Valvoline red grease has been way more useful than i expected. I grabbed it for my little home “office plus workshop” space because my office chair kept squeaking and the sliding drawer rails in my supply cabinet felt rough. The cartridge fits my basic grease gun without any drama and it doesnt ooze everywhere like some cheaper ones. I use it on my office chair wheels, the garage door hinges, and even the lawn mower. One Saturday I hit every squeak in the house and my husband joked it was too quiet. The high temp part is nice for the mower and our hot garage, nothing melts or runs.
