Masse Atrium 1000 Pc Puzzle

I LOVED THIS PUZZLE. The picture is in the M.C. Escher optical illusion style with dozens of classical artworks incorporated in it: Mona Lisa, The Scream, Sistine Chapel, etc. The pieces were completely cut out and are thick & sturdy enough so they do not easily bend. It was one of the most difficult puzzles I have encountered. Difficulty in my opinion is 9.5 out of 10. The only thing I can imagine that would be more difficult is a solid color puzzle. Why was it difficult? There is no poster to use as a guide. The only complete picture is on the box cover which is 1/10 the size of the entire puzzle. There is so much fine detail in the picture that it can be hard to determine in which scene a particular piece belongs. The color is black & white so the pieces cannot be sorted by color. The individual pieces are cut similar, basic four sides with knobs on opposite sides and notches on the other two sides. They cannot be sorted by odd shapes. The back does not have an Alphabetic pattern to verify that pieces are actually in the correct place. I would strongly recommend this puzzle to anyone who wants a REAL CHALLENGE.

Looks great but not yet opened. Future Christmas gift.

This is one of the most frustrating and yet most rewarding puzzles I have done. I LOVE doing puzzles and I enjoy a good challenge. Challenges:1. the entire puzzle is in black and white. (So no sorting by color schemes)2. The only picture of the puzzle is on the front of the box. That's a small picture! And since the images on the puzzle are so detailed it was hard to know exactly what image on the piece you were looking at.Rewards:1. That being said. Yes, the puzzle took me longer to finish because of the challenges, but that is what made it all the more rewarding. I was able to challenge my brain more and say I conquered that mountain.Lastly, there are a few images on the puzzle that are not rated PG. The images a pretty small but they do have more than one image of a woman's breasts. NOT appropriate at all!

Extremely difficult puzzle full of amusing "Easter eggs." Took a long time, so was disappointed it was missing a piece (I guess it's possible I lost it).

I purchased this for the occasional puzzle person who wanted a puzzle to do while watching TV. It's challenging but fun. The size doesn't take up too much space and the quality is good.

Pretty disappointing at the end.... when you find out that ONE piece is missing.

Super difficult, but provides good fun as you work out all the hidden famous works--they are really packed in there. Took about a month's worth of work lunch hours to finish.
