Superbox Fully Automated Turnkey Grow Box

Bought 2 years ago, has held up VERY well so much ado that I'm buying another!

Not really happy...item came with broken bulbs and is rather cheaply made

Hi everyone. I purchased a SuperGrow Box and wanted to provide an honest and objective review of this product. While it’s a great concept and the company is promising it’s not quite matured yet to where it claims to be.First of all, these employees are COMMITTED. They will, once you get ahold of a human, bend over backwards for their customers.Now, my experience. First box received was damaged in transit despite paying about $200 for shipping and mishandling.MANY of the contents of the box were missing despite their QA checklist. You’ll want to carefully scrutinize your inventory of goods.Main issue: HEAT. Despite their claims and offered solutions this box ran regularly at 96 degrees with the included light. Had to keep the door open for ventilation because of the heat. This didn’t do much for light or odor control.The attached exhaust fan (with carbon filter) ran extremely HOT. So hot the securing bolts and nuts were hot to touch where you couldn’t keep your hand on one of these for over a few seconds.The included superponic hydro system is poorly constructed and not thoroughly thought out. Doesn’t fit into the box without angling and, if it’s filled prior to putting in, there will be a mess everywhere.The included air stones were fractured (1 was) rendering it useless so they had to be purchased locally by me - tired of contacting the company every other day with an issue. The included pump constantly disconnects from the main feed line tube and, you guessed it, another mess everywhere.I’ll try to list some pros and cons for any consumer considering one of these boxes for purchase.PROS- dedicated staff who are committed to their company, products and customers. Rarely seen today and these guys are a refreshing reminder of employees who care.- included nutrients are top of the line and very easy to use.- now includes a cam if that’s your thing. It’s a nice, small and easy to operate camera you can use to monitor your box and growth.- SuperPonics system is a great idea, only issue with a small box is the size. Honestly you could save money and manufacture one out of a 4 gallon plastic tote, a few plant baskets for growing, a pump, some tubing and air stones. Actually, if you did that, you’d most likely have a better product.- the layout and concept of the box is a great idea, it’s just not there yet from an engineering standpoint.- includes GFCI and surge protection as well as a power strip- the smart plug timers are EXCELLENT.- included everything you need from start to finish. Quality of some items is excellent whereas others are cheap and poorly made.CONS- heat and effective ventilation is a MAJOR and ongoing issue. FIRE CONCERNS.- NOT light secure or odor secure. Needed to keep the door open to cool and ventilate- I’ve read other customers complain about the carbon filter and it’s shortcomings as far as controlling odor. Couldn’t tell you, had to leave the door open.- Missing items - NUMEROUS- broken items- damaged box- no included instructions- exhaust fan so hot you couldn’t touch the bolts or nuts to the fan with a bare hand - FIRE CONCERN- superponic system wouldn’t fit into box- superponic system is of poor and cheap design.- pump wouldn’t stay connected to main feed line creating a mess.- NOT a secure or stealth grow system because it doesn’t meet its intended design right now- very difficult to contact a human by calling their help line. Eventually got a hold of someone after many emails.- had so many issues I was in contact with the company about twice a week since it was purchased.So bottom line is this: it’s a great concept and I think it’ll eventually work for them once all of the kinks have been worked out. Would I advise someone to buy one now? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I’d recommend avoiding at all costs whatsoever at this time. IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM IS IT WORTH THE MONEY YOU WILL SPEND. This needs to be re engineered. It’s more trouble than it is worth at present.It’s a company and a product with a good foundation to be successful. The products, this included, needs major work and revision. If done, I think they’d be a market leader BUT despite their claims there not even close at the present time.

Fast delivery .Easy to get going. Little plants are growing like crazy!

Cheap crappy parts start to fall apart right away; bulbs are expensive and break very easily; HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from a bunch of newbies who don't know what they're talking about. They're like robots spouting lines they memorized, but they know nothing about growing.I wasted my money on this one. Hope you don't do the same--unless you want a really small harvest.

I've had mine for about 3 years now and it works just fine. Never had any issues just had to replace the carbon scrubber but that's about it. What I dont get are the broken bulbs. I cant see how that's possible. Everything comes boxed up and in the boxes they're buble wrapped. Also if you had all those issues why didnt you simply return the product. Those comments just dont make sense to me. They must be they're competitors.

When I purchased I was super stoked. Mcman was awesome and so helpful. My closet came and there was some issues with parts, those got resolved very quickly. The closet in theory is great but it is not practical. There are a ton of light leeks. You got a 50 pod germ and a 12 tank hydro but you can’t put more than 4 plants or it is way to crowded. I wasn’t thrilled but kept the closet because of the concierge option (they give you feedback and help on your plants). Well apparently McMan left and the guy who is there now is just super overworked, doesn’t answer phone or emails. (Not his fault he is overworked) but now I have this 2k closet that is not being used that’s just taking up space. The nutrition is great but super expensive. My plants outgrew the closet I had to get a tent. Removing the pants broke almost all my plants in half. Also the closet is LOUD with the filter fans, this is not stealth by any means. It can also not be flat on a fall because of pvc parts for wires. Personally I wouldn’t recommend. The only thing that I did like about it was the kindled was nice but when I asked for help on how to adjust the settings I was told to “just leave them how they come out of the box”. There’s a few settings that I feel my plants would prefer but it didn’t come with an instruction chart.
