Prints wonderfully, but the wifi doesn't work.
Okay, I'm updating this review to three stars. The wifi still does not work despite hours of wasted time. I did not smash the printer to bits as I threatened (see below). I gave up and told everyone they have to come over to the printer, sit down and plug the USB cable into their laptops. (Gasp! Oh, the horror! How 2002!) So, we're dealing with it, and this little printer prints wonderfully and quickly. We just have to use the USB cable. And next time I buy a printer I won't wait until the warranty has expired to try and set the thing up. Lesson learned.____________ Old Review:My old Brother HL-1670 was a great printer. I used it for well over 10 years until it suddenly died one day, so I bought this 2275DW as a replacement. Now, after many frustrating hours of misery spent trying to set this new replacement working, I'm about to give up and just order the $150 replacement part for the 1670. I may just smash this 2275 to smithereens with a baseball bat. It simply will not connect to my router, even when I set them a foot away from each other. I'm usually pretty good at setting up hardware, but this has been a huge, frustrating timesuck from day one. I would have returned it, but I let it sit here too long so now it's out of warranty.

this is a nice printer and prints clear
this is a nice printer and prints clear....but when you are in a bind for time and don't have the time to mess with it, or if it gets turned off for a little while or you unplug it, count on spending 30 minutes to move it near your computer and re install it because it unhooks itself from the network and won't reconnect regularly. ive already had to do this several times

Setup on a MAC is a pain
We are replacing an old brother laser printer with a new one. I use a mac and the printer is in the other room. It is a PAIN IN THE NECK to set this thing up. YOu need to connect it to Mac, Router and WLAN to get the wireless settings working. Plus the drivers that come with it are totally out to date and not compatible with my 10.83 system. Once I get this thing going it will be fine, but really skip it and get something that you can plug in and use. I am totally annoyed. Setting this up for me is going to be a process as my computer is located in a totally different location then the printer. URG... Bother you suck here ....

Works well
I had no issues getting my hooked up to my wireless network. I like that I can now save some money vs. Inkjet printing on my work paperwork (which I have a ton of.) I have had mine for 2 months now and I haven't had to replace the ink cartridge yet. On my old printer I changed it about every 3 weeks. The only thing I don't like about this is the paper drawer. It holds a lot of paper, which is awesome but it seems a little flimsy when opening and closing. As long as it doesn't ever break I don't care. Just a concern.Great value for the price!
