Marshall Pirate Ship Cage Accessory for Small Animals

I loved this when first purchased for my 2 fuzzies. However, my female was a chewer/ digger and within days had the inside torn apart. I Cleaned it out and removed the remaining foam but it was too late. A day later, my sweet BonBon had internal blockage and died in my hands before I could even get her to a vet. Just be aware so no one suffers a loss like this.

The Marshall Pirate Ship (Home) Accessory is a wonderful little sleeping ship for any pirate-ferrets you may have. My boy Captain Jack was in dire need of a ship, and this was perfect for him. We have two hammocks for our two ferrets, and sometimes both are in one and the other is empty, but most of the time, at least one is curled up napping in the ship.The construction is solid, and even though my boys are fond of chewing things (they're teething right now) there doesn't appear to be any damage to the cloth. The base of the ship has a zippered compartment where you can place a hard plastic base if you want a more solid base, but it's not necessary, and my ferrets scratched at it, making a lot of noise, so I pulled it out. The flag simply slides over a plastic pole which slides into a pocket on the front of the ship, and the flag tends to come off rather easily if your ferrets decide they want to inspect it closer.The clips are sturdy plastic, easy to attach and remove from the bars in the cage. The length of cloth between the ship and each clip is fully adjustable so you can hang it up however you please.The base of the ship has four holes, two on each side, and there is a hole in the top for them to poke their head out of.My ferrets have been using this for a few weeks now, and they love it, plus it gives their home a nice pirate feel.

My ferrets absolutely LOVE this ship. Their old one fell apart so I had to order another. Unfortunately, both ships had the same problem - loose threads wrapped around my ferrets' limbs. I came home after being gone for most of the day to find my smallest female trapped in this ship. Her arm was very swollen and I thought she had broken it - thank goodness it was just sprained. I had to cut her out of the ship. Also, the plastic bottom was torn out withing an hour of giving them the new toy. Giving 2 stars because my ferrets seem to LOVE this, but the inside will have to be redone.

This is a great design except my ferrets think it's too open to sleep in and they don't play in it. It's really well made and I'm sad they don't use it. It's plenty big enough for two.Maybe if the windows had flaps that could velcro closed it would be a good sleeping den.I've given five stars because the quality is great, if not the design.

This is the second pirate ship I’ve gotten for my little catsnakes. It’s one of their favorite hammocks. The flag doesn’t last very long with my stinkies, but the pirate ship lasts for a long while even after they’ve tried to make it perfectly comfortable (destroyed/shredded haha) their older one is still usable just no longer holding it’s shape all the way, but I have had the first one for a few years or so now. I have found all 5 of my ferrets cuddles up in the pirate ship at the same time, so it’s a good size because a couple of my stinkies are hefty boys.

Our ferret is not overly fond of this. It is awkward to hang and it comes really misshapen so you have to work with it over time to get the top to stay up. There is not much space in the bottom and without using the cardboard insert for the bottom it is hard for our ferret to get in and out. But with the insert in it makes the bottom too stiff and no fun to sleep in. Definitely not large enough for more than one - our full grown (on the small side) boy is really too big to comfortable lie in it.

Adorable but very cheaply made. Didn't last a week with my rats.. I've had them over a year, and this was the first thing they've ever torn up. I think it was on accident.. just didn't stand up to the claws climbing around.It sunk in..wasn't sturdy.Their hair just clung on to the interior fabric like a magnet.. it was gross. A huge nest in there, in only a week.I'm so sad it didn't hold up.. it was toooo cute!!

This product is just okay. Once set up it looks more like a hut than a ship and theres not too much room for multiple ferrets, especially if they are chonksters. And for some reason most of my ferrets want to attack this, like, viciously; I dont know what that's about....

I bought this for my two ratties and they love it! The ship is quite big so they have enough space to stretch out while sleeping and there is still space left for their blankets. One of the girls sleeps inside every day and the other girl sleeps there occasionally so it must be very comfy for them. I'm very satisfied with this product.

Was a funny thing and the guinea pig liked it but eventually it go too covered in hair and wee and I didn't want that all in the washing machine. pigs butt hanged out a little too but he didn't mind. also a flimsy version of the pig but not too bad.

My ferret loves it.plays and sleeps in.very happy with the high quality material and the size; not too small, yet not too big, just perfect to hang in the cage.

Lovely product. I brought it for my rats. They are fatties though and I had to cut the holes bigger. They seem to really like it though and it does look good.

Ferrets love it. Love climbing in and out of the holes. Recommend this.
