This thing is heavy duty ..my husband remodels and he’s a big back and it holds him up just fine only draw back is there no groove to hold a Dewalt drill but it makes up for it with the nifty magnet and extra wide step so if you need to extend your reach safely and you a little on the heavy side you should buy it

Our old aluminum step ladder gave out, and I got this for my husband who owns all things DeWalt. It’s very sturdy. Well built. And a lot lighter than it looks. I didn’t pay attention to the weight when I was purchasing it, and that was a pleasant surprise. He is happy.

This is a great, well-built step ladder. I ordered it for my father as a birthday present and I am impressed not only with the ladder, but how Amazon shipped it to me. I originally ordered a similar ladder from a competing company, and it came to my house as is. There was no protective anything. It was just as is. It looked like it had been through a tremendous battle. It was covered in various colors of paint from rubbing aginst things, several dings and scratches. Needless to say not acceptable for the money I paid for it, especially as a present. This ladder came in a box, and was packaged with paper to protect it during shipping. What a difference! It was pristine. I have an old 4 foot Werner step ladder that I have had for 15 years, and I am seriously considering forking over the cash for one of these beauties.

This thing is a BEAST! ....in a good way. I am very impressed with this ladder, incredibly stable. Lots of nooks to store/hold tools at the top, all very handy. The magnetic holder is also a great idea. Coming from a ladder with narrow steps the wider steps on the Dewalt ladders really do make a difference, you can stand much longer and more comfortably on these wider steps vs others. As others have mentioned, why did I spend double or even triple the price of a 'normal' ladder? Stability, strength and safety. I weight about 225lbs far less than the rated capacity but safety, safety, safety. I don't need any broken bones or worse from a fall off a ladder, I would rather pay a little more now than alot more later! Thanks Dewalt! Update: I have been using this ladder a few months now and couldn't be happier its tough and stable. The magnetic portion on the top is a BRILLIANT idea! I use this all the time, this feature alone is worth the extra money. The magnet is surprisingly strong!

I really wanted to like this ladder. It seems very well built in terms of sturdiness, has a good weight rating for those of us who need that and is a good intermediate size for those of us who just need it for around the house. Problem is, the legs were not square to the ground so it wobbles. In receiving it, it's absolutely filthy like it has been sitting outside somewhere and while it probably wasn't, it appeared used. I kept trying to decide if I should return it or see if I can live with it and finally I decided today to return it. From a safety perspective, I can't trust it because of the wobbling. I probably am being kind giving it 3 stars but I do think it's a good ladder if it just didn't have these issues and I didn't want to discourage people from taking a chance on it.

Nicely constructed but rungs for feet are not very deep. It you have a large foot it could be a problem. Also, it does not seem as stable as it could have been made.

Fantastic ladder. I have put this ladder through hell and back and it's as strong as ever. It's a little heavier than your conventional fiberglass ladder but the added weight capacity is completely worth it for me. No flex at the support at all! The rubber feet have also saved me from damage finished floors (be it I still place rhino paper down) I would highly recommend this ladder to anyone who need a good strong ladder and needs that extra weight capacity

Receive the ladder today. I paid the full price for the new one, but got a used one. The problem is the legs are uneven, causing it to wobble back and forth. Not safe to use. Lots of Scratch. Very disappointed that they sent over a used ladder.
