Kinda Basic, Fit Isn't Awesome, Lacing System Is In Line With Other Cross Training Shoes
After absolutely destroying my outlet Nike Metcons on an obstacle race, I purchased these. The price was akin to what I paid for Metcons in the Nike outlet store and I had heard good things from folks that were solely powerlifters. (Note to readers: not a powerlifter. A 45 year old crossfitter who drags herself to classes to keep her booty from having too familiar a relationship with the backs of her thighs. Another note: if the bastids at the obstacle race had told us we were going to run through water, I wouldn't have worn my outlet metcons, I would have used my full price Nanos from Reebok as they fit like deep fried monkey poop). Anyhoo, the powerlifters at my old gym told me they were the bomb. And they may be for for powerlifting but for cross training, not so much. The sole is bomb-diggety but the lacing stinks, which makes the fit stink as you can't lace up super tight for cardio workouts. They come pre-laced with a second hole available but lacing that second hole requires your husband to be an electrician with a special tool for boring. (The hubs is an electrician with said tool). Otherwise the second hole that will bring it closer to your ankle is essentially for show as it's way, way too small to accomodate a lace of any size. While the sole, heel and body construction feels super solid, the cheaping-out on the lacing and upper body makes it feel like a Payless Shoe Source shoe, which is a crying shame as I do feel the sole and insert are worthy of greatness. Get it together, guys.

Great crossfit shoes for wider feet.
I have very wide feet and I'm really picky about my crossfit shoes, which I wear during workouts 4-5 times a week. My experience with Invo-8's is that they are usually designed for narrow feet. (for some models they have two shapes: "Standard" is wider and "Precision" is narrower) My two-year old F-lite 250's were standard fit and reasonably wide, but the exact same model last month was too narrow. When I tried these 260's on they are REALLY good: Very stable under a heavy load (I'm 160, DL 225, BS 200). Just the right amount of grip for box jumps or jumps onto plates, but they don't snag on the rubber mat. I haven't run much in them, but they are relatively firm but soft enough for a mile at a time. I wouldn't take them out on pavement for much more than that.If you have REALLY wide feet, these still may not be wide enough. If you're just too wide for Metcon's or NoBull's, these are a win, and you can't complain about the price.ps. it seems like Inov-8 has made some progress on the shoe laces. These don't untie as readily as my 250's, they needed a triple knot for any longer workout.

Good gym shoes, but really not anything else
These shoes fit well, and look good. Materials are borderline cheap. They work well in the gym for weightlifting and light cross training. However, unless you tie them tight the tongue of the shoe slips around and becomes annoying. Definitely not a running shoe or distance walking. I wear them for routine light walking, or around the house. Probably wouldn't have bought them from a local store, but for what I use them for, I also see no reason to send them back.Just would not recommend them to anyone planning on using them for serious workouts of any type. There are better shoes out there for the money.

I will be purchasing another pair
I love these shoes. I wear them 5 days a week to train in. I squat in the 400-500 pd range usually and they have given me ample support. While I leave the cardio to my CrossFit hero buddies, I have also ran some while wearing them too with success. I’m still looking for that special shoe that gives me cardio benefits without making me actually run :)**Update**Almost 18 months of 5-6 days a week at the gym and I’ve worn these out. I’m about to buy another pair of the exact same shoe. I obviously think they are good shoes.

Great shoe but did not fit my toes
I eagerly anticipated the arrival of the shoe and based on the sizing chart I was confident I would be getting the perfect size. However when they arrived they were to small. It seemed like they would fit, all toes but my big toe were touching the inside of shoe.

Great Support
Shoes are just a little on the small size and its frustrating that I could not find them at a local store to at least check the fitting. Overall, they provide great support. I'm looking forward to getting lots of use out of them.

Too small
This is my 3rd pair of Inov-8's. Love the shoes, but they run small. Two out of the three were too small.

Super light, very comfortable, but...
I wish they made this shoe in a walk-friendly’ version with a little more support. Perfect for the gym or any situation where the surface your walking on is always consistently and perfectly flat. The soles are thin and rubbery and as they state in their product description you feel every single little bump.

Great shoe with comfortable and stable heel cup but width ...
Great shoe with comfortable and stable heel cup but width slightly too large for my narrow feet across the bridge. That said, still supportive through all Crossfit/Tabata and Circuit sessions.

Recommended, unless you need something waterproof
These are the third pair of Inov8s I've bought. I really like the design, comfort and performance - very light....and, if I'm honest, they differentiate me from the crowd.
