Insten Gaming Headset Headphone with Mic Compatible with Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, Black

I give this three stars because it does work and doesn't cost much compared to it's name brand competitor BUT you get what you pay for. It functions properly and is more or less comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time, but the headset itself isn't made of very sturdy material. I'm a pretty neat girl that handles my things carefully and the thing still started falling apart after minimal handling, that said, I would NOT suggest you get this if you're buying for your younger children, especially if they're rough on their things. If it's for an older teen or yourself it might me okay if you don't mind the thing is made cheaply and that you'll probably either have to be VERY careful with it or have to replace it often, then this is the headset for you. The wiring on mine is now exposed, and I'll give it another 3 weeks before I order a new one. I'm still deciding if it will be this one again or a professional one. Don't get me wrong, if you can keep this thing in tact, it's perfect, but if not, I'd go with something else. I will say it's a great first/starter headset just to help getting used to one, and probably to test if your kids will trash an expensive one or not before you buy. Best of luck!

I gave this headset a two when it should be a one. And honestly they would have gotten a better rating if they gave a working pair... I ordered for my child b/c the reviews were really good. and when i got them in the mail they were broke! First off when i opened my small mail box the head set was SHOVED/JAMMED into it. Then when i opened it it was just put in a zip lock bag.. Mind u i ordered it new. So y is it in a zip loc bag?? AND there was basically no packing in it to keep it safe. Then i pull it out of the zip loc bag. the wire was disconeccted from the ear phone. So when i plugged it in, only one side worked and the other was silent (gee wonder y... The wire was ripped out..) the side that did work had a lot of static. But i will say even tho they didnt work they were comfortable to put on and wear.. So that was a plus BUT too bad they were broke and of no use to me... I ordered them b/c my sister ordered them for her son and said he loved them. She said they were comfortable & that the sound quality was great. And i had My kid try his cousins on and he liked them too... so i thought it would be a nice christmas gift. And it would have been IF I had gotten a pair that worked! So yea i got my money back.

great for the money. my son used them. he can hear clearly and sounds clear to his friends. When he has these on I cant hear the others talking to him, but i can still here the other game sounds. we hoping that all the sound would be routed to the headphones so i would not have to listen to it when he plays. still a good value for the money.

I used to buy these eForCity headphones for my boys often because they are cheap (I can get 2 or 3 for the price of 1 of Microsoft's) and my boys don't take care of their things like they should (leave them out for the dogs to chew up or someone to step on). I buy a few at a time then sell them to my boys when they need it. They work good at first then either the mic or speakers go out. You get what you pay for. I think it's time to invest in the wireless earpiece (might just work since there are no cords and the dogs are no longer interested in anything but their toys or bones).

I'm not a sound freak so I can't attest to the sound because it sounded fine to me.The only problem I had with them is that I accidentally lightly stepped on them and now the inside piece of the right ear is loose. I just think that's weird because I've stepped on my other headphones for xbox tons of times and they never even cracked a bit.

I honestly loved this headset, it has nice sound quality like the expensive headsets.I would've given it a five star rating if the wire was a little thick, because the way it is now, you feel as if you can just pull it apart with one tug. Other than that you will be satisfied.

SOUND IS GOOD, COMFORT IS GOOD, HAD TO PUFF OUT THE EAR PIECE BUT THEN FELT OKAY FOR 4+ HOURS AT A TIME. THE ONLY THING I WISH WAS TO BUY A HEADSET WITH 1 EAR PIECE BECAUSE IT DOES INTERFERE WITH THE TV VOLUME, SINCE YOU ONLY HEAR THE CHAT AS WITH ANY OTHER MIC/HEADSET FOR XBOX 360.

Arrived on time and as for the product works great on audio, but it starts to hurt your ears after a while and feels that it could break very easily, but good price and good product

Does not work on PlayStation 3 but does on a mobile phone which was supposed to be for a PlayStation

This headset is very good for $3.97. It was shipped within 24 hours, and it came in the mail in 14 day and it looks awesome!. I should make it clear that THIS HEADSET DOES NOT PLAY THE GAME SOUNDS. It is only for chat. If you want a headset that plays game sounds, get something from turtle beach or tritton. You can get these off Amazon.ca for under $50.Let's get to the pros and consPros:-The sound quality is great. If you turn the volume to the maximum, then you can hear a slight buzzing. I always have it in the middle (There are 3 180˚ spins). You don't hear the buzz when you are concentrating on the game, and people are talking.-Even though it may seem noise isolating, it isn't I could still hear the game fine at the same level I played before I got the headset. If you cup your hands around your ears, it kind of sounds like that. You can put the headphone without the mic in front of your ear so that you can hear the game better.-The headset fits great. I have both of them on the third notch, out of seven.- The puck is at the base. If you need to mute your mic if the dog is barking, or something, you can quickly switch it off with your thumb, instead of looking down, and fumbling for it at your chest, like the standard Microsoft headset.Cons:-The ear phones are slightly too small. They hurt the top of my ears after about an hour of having it on. You can put put the headset around your neck, and position the mic so that is near you, and put the volume to the maximum.-Seems delicate. When I got mine, I could rotate the head phone piece, but if you take really good care of it, it should last a while.-The wires seem very weak. If you try to pull the puck off by tugging the wire, it will most likely break. ALWAYS get a firm grip on the puck, and carefully take it off.Well, that's my review! I definitely reccomend buying it for that price. I've had it for a month now, and it works fine. I'll update if it breaks. But hey, you get what you pay for.TL:DR? A great headset for a casual gamer. i got these,just because they were so cheap.when i got them i said ok they seem like they would break easy and would have flaws.hey it was like $6,so i didnt expect much.had them for a month now and they work good.can hear fine,the mic is good and not glitchy.i say it was worth the whole 6 bucks.i would recommend these to anyone who doesnt have the money for the more expensive ones.just a reminder tho,dont expect the best.they work and they last..hope this helps

I chose three star's because the headset does not have in game volume.You cannot hear the game and chat at the same time unless you turn up your TV witch I find to be distracting when your trying to have a conversation.The head wear in general is pretty uncomfortable.If you wear it to long your ear's will start to hurt.If your a person that play's competitively this head set is not for you but if you just like talking to people and not taking game's very seriously then this headset would be fine for you. This headset is good for the amount of money that it is but if you want a more reliable headset I recommend getting turtle beach x 11s or turtle beach x 12s.That's it you decide.
