I have others of these and they are water resistant. They are large enough to store multiple boxes of shotgun shells. The box top storage can come in handy.

Tough Little Box
Very tough little boxes. Not quite as large as a traditional military ammo can but almost just as big. Snaps are tight and secure. Plastic is very thick and won't break anytime soon. Handle feel secure and strong.

Decent box, poor latch design.
I bought these to store loose ammo, though quickly repurposed them to storing boxed ammo receiving them.The box is overall decent quality. The plastic feels study enough and the handle is fine. My biggest complaint is the latch design. It is completely made of plastic and does not have much tension at all on it. I would not trust it to stay closed even from a small bump or drop.This is fine if you are using it to store boxed ammo or other similarly sized items, but I would not recommend using this for loose ammo due to the risk of it spilling everywhere. Spend the extra $3 on the Plano case with a metal latch or buy a surplus ammo can for that.
