The Vango Longleat 800XL Tent is a vis-a-vis 8 person tunnel tent with a large living area with a fully sewn-in groundsheet throughout. The vis-a-vis layout positions a bedroom at each end of the tent, ideal for families or groups of friends. All in one pitching means you can pitch the Vango Longleat with the inner tent left in, making it quick and easy to put up. The sewn-in groundsheet in the living area provides protection from the elements, stopping wind, rain and wildlife from getting in. The Lights out inner tent utilises darker fabric to reduce the amount of early morning light that enters the tent, helping you to wake up more naturally.

Spacious, hardy, waterproof, didnt blow away.
This is a very spacious tent, comfortably sleeps 8 using the two bedrooms (which themselves partition into half, each half being able to fit a double airbed if needed though a bit cramped.) the bedrooms zip up seperately, I love the fact that theres so many little pockets provided, and extra resistance to windy weather using the inner straps. the living space between the two rooms is very large, you could easily fit another family in that area if you wanted to. I really liked that the ground sheet was sewn in, a feature that is very hard to find in a large tent and still be affordable. It survived torrential rains with very little water coming in (the little that did was my own fault for having the door on the wrong side of the lip of the sheet. it didnt spread far and a towel on the puddle did the trick with no problems. Obviously in the sun it got unbearably hot in there as with most tents. I'm not too sure why you are able to open the "curtain" window things from the outside, it feels like this should be a thing one chooses to do inside your tent rather than having friends able to prank you in this manner (but there was plety of space to change in the bedrooms so nyah nyah to them)This is a very durable tent and surprisingly good quality. I was worried about purhasing it as there were no reviews at the time, but after being stung by an ebay purchase of a different tent I took the risk and I'm so glad I did. It's very heavy, and its helpful if you arent trying to assemble it on your own but its easy to understand (no mean feat as I was a first timer) and I was even able to take the whole lot down and put it away by myself the second time using it.Another handy feature is the extra space in teh bag it comes in. There's this really annoying thing items like sleeping bags and tents do where, once you've taken them OUT of the packet, you never get them back in, and you end up with ripped packaging. Not the case here, extra space in the packaging means that once you've put it up, taken it down and folded it in the haphazardly rushed way you do as you're trying to load a car and vacate an area with minions as quickly yet stress-freely as possible.. you can still get it into the packaging! It is -very- heavy... but it is a -very big tent.Well worth it! (also well worth getting some solar lights to trail up the guide ropes so you dont trip over them in the night. Also, because I was worried about it when i bought it i'll say it now... it comes with all the pegs. get yourself a mallet.

Beware of the guarantee...
We bought this tent approximately 3 months before using it. When we arrived at the camp site for a family holiday, we found 2 of the poles were broken (we hadn't checked the tent when it arrived) We put the tent up as best we could to avoid disappointing my grandchildren, but one side was nearly flat. We left after 2 nights instead of the week we had paid for. When I contacted the seller and amazon I was basically told tough! The poles are not covered by the guarantee, so we will now have to buy new poles after spend over £300.00 on this tent. Very disappointed with the company policy. I can imaging the tent would be great when I renew the poles. Very spacious.

Large great family tent
We love this tent. It's huge and spacious and for such a big tent fairly easy to pitch. The bag is big so it does go back in quite easy unlike our old tent.I can't give it 5 stars simply because I think such a big tent should have an awning and I wish we'd got one with one built in instead. I also don't think the windows are big enough somehow.I love the completely built in ground sheet and the separate bedrooms. We slept in it family of 4 and we're perfectly comfy.
