Great tool but expensive
I have had this nailer a couple of years now and am really pleased with it. Just getting around to writing the review. It seemed over-priced but was about the only pin nailer on the market at the time. You can get them for a whole lot less money now. So far, I have never had a jam and it drives a pin leaving a hole so small it is unnoticable escpcially if you are painting. Generally I have only used it for small trim. It was a life-saver for assembling a bunch of 8' tall 5x5 plywood columns for a stage set where I had to nail into the edge of 1/4" luan which is really less than 1/4" thick (glue and nail to be more accurate). Way better than clamps. The nails have no structural streangth or heavy holding power because they are thin and smooth which is a good thing when you have to pull a piece apart while the glue is still wet. They do hold things long enough for the glue to dry and I have never split a piece of trim with a pin nail and I am talking about making jewelry box type projects. If I install trim in a house, I use a regular brad or finish nailer although this is really great for thin stuff.

Met expectations
I build small wooden props and sets for my photography studio, so I need to work clean and fast. This thing is great.....it does exactly what I wanted. My old pinner used bigger pins, actually tiny brad nails....so I had to fill them in with putty/and or drywall compound, then wait for it to dry, paint it, etc. Also the heads on the other pinner were big...and had to be set....sometimes even pulled out if they didn't go correctly into tiny molding. These pins don't really have a head..and seem to "set themselves" right below the surface...and a coat of paint (latex or spray paint for quick jobs) is enough to fill in the hole, what small hole is left, and make the pins invisible. It'll handle the smallest pieces of molding...I also had a little bit of veneer coming up on my kitchen floor...an older oak herringbone floor. I put a little bit of clear epoxy, then a piece of thin clear plastic to protect the pinner from the glue...and zap ....the 1/2" pins worked beautifully. This opens up a range of repair and building jobs that seemed difficult or impossible before.... It's also light, easy to handle, and smooth as silk. No jams so far....I can see a model builder using this to build very small wooden models....you can even use it to hold veneer in place, and other small pieces for set-ups...then pull them out without any noticeable holes....

Good pinner from the best pneumatic tool company
This is a pretty decent tool. There is a better one available from senco but this is just fine for most work. I have used it on all kinds of trim details as well as repairs on broken wood pieces. I have had no issues with this tool in the 5 years I have owned it.

Jams way too often - not up to Senco quality
I own lots of pneumatic tools and have had two Senco finish guns that ran like champs. Though this pin nailer has been treated well and oiled often it jams frequently. I've had this thing apart way too often on job sites trying to clear jams and often resort to using my brad nailer instead. Also, its lack of a safety means this gun will fire when the trigger is pressed even if the nose is not in contact with a work surface. (Of course, this assumes that it is a working gun, which mine often is not) I'm very disappointed with this product.

Fine Fastener!
Just as my past experiences with Senco Fastening products this tool is a jewel. The unit is very reasonably priced and the only drawback is its limited range, 1/2in. pins to 1 in. pins. To do longer pins you have to purchase another gun.

great tool
i bought mine here in 2003. it has been used in a cabinet shop since then and now is just wore out, never had any problems that were not out of misuse. paid 129.00 here and now it is 118.00. i only own senco and some of mine are from the late 60's and still work fine- with maintiance

Very Good - but jams regularly
I am very happy with this nailer but it does jam fairly often. It is easy to clear but very frustrating. I really like the small holes that are left.

senco pin nailer
I only recently started using my nailer. It worked well for almost two weeks, then it started mis-firing about every third nail. I took it to a repair shop, they changed the driver, but there was no difference. Don't know what can be done at this point, but I am very disappointed with this product.
