Starts working quickly
Our vet recommended this for my cat's hair loss. She had been itching, overgrooming, and biting her fur. She had started to get a bald spot on one side. Our vet ruled out fleas and more serious ailments, so we decided to try this.It started working for her pretty quickly. I rubbed this into her fur and it seemed to instantly calm her itching. She's a senior kitty whose fur grows back pretty slow, but within a week or two, her bald patch was growing back in. She hasn't been biting since. When we first started using it, I applied it every other day. Now we do maybe weekly or whenever she's acting itchy. Usually, she doesn't bother the application site much, but if she just wants to lick it all off, I put her in a soft cone while it dries.Glad we found this!

Great for dermatitis but beware
Really has no scent which is great. Dogs do NOT like to smell perfume-y. It is great to nearly cure my dog's sebhorric dermatitis! Paid $$$ to pet dermatologist and NEVER mentioned this stuff! Went to regular vet and she recommended but charged $75 so I found here on Amazon cheaper! Put on the scabs and dog skin rebuilds its sebum ( google it. Skin layer )which heals sore in 1 day! If dog doesn't lick it off... If so your dog will get loose stools all day and may not eat. Neutralize if dog lucked the mousse with a oral syringe of water- try 1/3 cup worth- down dog's throat if u observe dog licking the mousseThe push mousse releaser stopped working. I contacted vet. She said just apply with pouring liquid on a cotton ball and apply to skin. It comes in mousse or spray to apply a little at a time and 0 rinse needed. If foam applier stops then just use in liquid form but at little doses w cotton ball or cloth. ( same with human foam soap. All ingredients r there but if foam applier stops working - just applied with pouring less liquid content) The whole point of mousse form is NOT to saturate the dog's fur. Thus a no rinse application. Just dab on with cotton ball or non absorbing cloth.

product didn't work as described
My Vet recommended this for my cat. The 1st bottle my brother ordered from his acct & after 2 uses, it would not foam. I called the Manufacturer & they said not to use it. I had opened my own acct & ordered a 2nd bottle before I knew of the issues with the 1st. I again had the same issue with the 2nd bottle & again called the Manufacturer. While on the phone with them, I noticed both bottles had the same Lot # & an Exp date of Dec 2018. I still need the product but am hesitant to order it a 3rd time. I was told I was getting a refund on 9/20 but it has not showed up yet as of today ( 9/29 ). Since I don't know what caused both bottles to be liquid rather than a mousse, I can't say whether the product could have helped my cat or not, especially since the manufacturer was emphatic about me not using it in its liquid form.

Lucky if you get Mousse
Our Berner has a condition called sebacceous adenitis. Treatment requires this Douxo mousse to be applied topically three times a week. Of the 20 bottles we have ordered over the last few months, at least 10 have failed to produce a foam mousse as advertised. Instead, when you activate the pump, it produces a diluted liquid. If anyone knows of another brand that supplies Phytosphingosine foam mousse, please advise. It will be appreciated.

more convenient than shampoo but not my favorite
My pup has seborrhea (excess oil) and we had used the shampoo previously, which worked well but was a pain since she had to keep it on for so long, and then became impossible to get (out of stock everywhere). So I decided to try the mousse. It is definitely easier to apply and use than the shampoo but I do find it makes her hair kind of oily. I usually put it on the day before she was going to get a bath anyway. I am having a hard time deciding if it's as effective as the shampoo but she hasn't had any relapses so I guess it's work sufficiently well.

Sopping mess, not mousse
I am 1 for 3 with this product actually having mousse consistency. It still does what it should for the skin but sopping mess as it does not come out as mousse. Because it works I have bought it 3 more times and only 1 has been a mousse.

Wasn't impressed
I purchased this product for my dog....although the smell is pleasant, the mousse didn't work as well as I anticipated... left my dog's skin more flakey after use. I used it in between baths but did not give me the results I was expecting.

Good
A bit pricey but definitely noticeably reduced my cats dandruff. Don't know how well the no rinse types clean though
