Great youth bat!
I purchased this bat for my 6 year old for coach pitch. I bought this bat after doing a good bit of research and reading reviews around the web. The purchase was made late-season, the only mistake was giving it to him with only 6 games left, as it did not allow him time to adjust to the new bat. He immediately made excellent contact with the bat, but it seemed "dead", even when he hit the ball on the sweet spot. I was very disappointed in this and thought the bat was a dud, but he insisted on continuing to use the bat and practice with it. After three games and hitting with the bat many, many times the bat came to life. He instantly began smashing the ball with liners in the outfield every at bat. Since that time we could not be happier with the purchase. By the end of the season every kid on the team wanted to hit with his new bat! I highly recommend this bat but strongly recommend you allow time for athlete adjustment and time for a "break-in" period as the bat really woke up after 200 or so hits.

Great bat - using in 8U coach pitch
As expected, a night and day difference in the pop of the ball coming off of this bat vs. my son's older Demarini aluminum bat. That's not a knock on the Demarini by any means, but now that he has established batting discipline from using the regular barreled bat, this big barreled bat just offers more a sweet spot for him to really smack the ball. I purchased the 28/16 for him, and he loves it. My son is a hair under 4' tall.

Great bat
Coach a 8U baseball team and the kids love the bat. The color can be a little distracting at first but they get past it after the newness of it wears off. Good pop and smooth feel compliment to bat making it ideal. Get the longer and fatter barrel without the extra weight.

Small sweet spot, stinging hands
I ordered this bat for my 8yr old to use in his first season of coach pitch baseball. The bat felt and looked good in his hands but we quickly discovered that any hit not directly on the sweet spot (very small) was stinging his hands. It got to the point where he was no longer swinging at pitches he didn't think he could hit perfectly for fear of hurting his hands. As excited as he was for this new bat it was more important to me to find a bat that wasn't going to negatively alter his swing. We ended up sending it back (kudos to Amazon for quickly refunding our purchase) and went with a Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL and have been much happier with the results. Good pop, larger sweet spot and a lot less vibration.

Decent Pop but Ehhhh.....
I bought a 25" for my 5 year old daughter who played "coach pitch" with the boys this year. It has decent pop but I feel it is overpriced. I believe I could have gotten the same results from a less expensive bat.I'd give it a 3.5 but that's not an option.

Good bat for little kids
Bought this for my husband's 6 & under baseball team. We were a little worried at first that it had kind of a dead sound when it hit the ball. This past week though our 3 year old daughter had 2 big hits with it in a game and so did one of the 4 year old boys. We felt much better about the purchase after that game. It is pretty light for swinging and the bigger barrel offers more hitting surface.

Best and Hottest Bat on Market - get 2014 model if you can.
Best and hottest bat on the market. 6 year old son hit two over 155-foot fence with this bat and had only one-hopped the fence before. Adds 10-20 feet and my son feels invincible with it. Took about 20-50 swings/hits to break in. I'm a tough critic with bats (former college player and many years of professional softball - bat technology is a second language) and this deserves 5 Stars.
