The media could not be loaded.  Simply put, I love this camera. First of all, it came with a ton of accessories for mounting, plus the waterproof casing and extra battery. It did not come with a car kit, but I purchased one, especially made for the SJCAM, separately, for about $15, maybe less. I use my camera primarily as a dash cam and have not yet tested it underwater or in another capacity. I hope to do more with it as the weather warms up.First of all, the video is very crisp. When I pause a video, I could easily take a screenshot and use it as a photo because objects, including moving cars, are very clear, not blurred, even from video shot from my own moving car. I've read you can't read license plates with this camera, but I can. I had a frightening incident just today, captured on video, of a van that almost side-swiped my car as it attempted to move over into my lane. I slowed down the video and could easily read the plate number.Using my camera at night as a dash cam, however, doesn't produce the crisp results from stills. Though the night video is good, it could be better. Bright neon signs are washed out and it's impossible to read most of them. If there's a way to adjust how much light the camera pulls in from a video, I haven't found it yet. Still, I'm happy with it as a dash cam, day or night because it is a very good witness to a potential accident or mishap.I also used the time lapse photo feature one day on my way to work, during the day. The photos came out beautifully crisp and clear. Again, using this feature at night, the results weren't as stellar. But I'm really thrilled with its overall performance and ease of use. I used the time lapse video feature, too, setting it at one minute, but ended up with a video literally 2 seconds long...if that. I'm still trying to figure out how that works. However, I can either stitch together photos or speed up my video if I want to create a time lapse video, so it can still be done.The manual gives very little information on all the camera's functions, but I've found Youtube to be a great resource for learning how the camera works. I also just fiddled around with it one night at home until I felt confident I could use it in any way I wanted.I purchased separately two extra batteries which came with a charger that can also be used in the car, the car kit (which also came with an extra battery), and a 32 gb SanDisk Ultra microSDHC UHS-I card . All told, I spent under $150 for everything. With the car kit, I can keep the camera plugged into my car and record endless video without worrying about the battery dying.Also, I don't use "car mode" anymore when I'm using the camera as a dashcam, plus I turned off "cyclic record" and "screensaver." This allows me to record non-stop video for as long as I want. Prior to adjusting these settings, my camera would stop recording at 10 minute intervals (if set on 10 minutes) and while in "car mode." I'd have to push the button again to resume recording.You can adjust the ISO for photos, as well, plus white balance and sharpness. I don't think those settings apply to video (I tried it and saw no difference). I know very little about video recording and settings for video, so maybe there is a way to adjust such settings I'm not aware of.Once I get a chance to use the camera for other purposes, such as landscape and underwater shots, I'll come back to add my findings. I also plan to purchase a drone in the near future to capture some aerial views.All in all, this is a great camera. I'm a first-time buyer of an action camera, and I read literally hundreds of customer reviews for the SJCAM SJ4000 and SJ5000, and other similar cameras on the market. I felt confident I had made the right choice, and now I KNOW I did.I'm still not quite sure how to use the wifi for the camera along with the SJCAM app. I decided to delete the app and not bother with it. Instead, I use the USB cord to load my videos/photos onto my laptop. I edit some in Windows Movie Maker, then save in whatever format I want. The only complaint I have about uploading to my laptop is that the USB cord is very loose, so I have to sit perfectly still so it doesn't disconnect. I tried using the card reader with the micro SD card, but my laptop, for some reason, doesn't recognize it or any other card reader I've tried to use with other devices. I'd rather not have to mess with removing/reinstalling the card anyway, so the USB cord works for me.Unlike the Go Pro cameras, the SJCAM SJ5000 wifi also takes up to 14mp photos, which was a big selling point for me since I do a lot of photography and post editing of my work. I'm going to go nuts taking photos with this camera all over Kansas City!I've uploaded a video from today demonstrating how great this camera is for a dash cam. I hope it works. This was edited in Windows Movie Maker and shows a van that almost side-swiped my car and scared the crap out of my daughter and me. It was a close call. I recommend everyone get a dash cam, and I HIGHLY recommend everyone get an SJCAM SJ5000 wifi camera so you can use it for so much more.I also uploaded some day and night shots using the time lapse photo feature. I may not have had the settings just right for the day shots, hence the greenish hue. Keep in mind, too, that my windshield is responsible for some distortion due to dings and dirt.I hope this helps others to make an informed decision on their next action camera purchase. I couldn't be happier.

This looks just as good as a friend's GoPro Hero 3 silver. My only word of caution is to make sure you are purchasing an authentic SJCam. Although SJCam is sort of a knock off of the GoPro, there are other companies copying the SJCam designs, but without the proper hardware. When purchasing on Amazon, look for "By SJCam" in the product description, and ensure that the camera you are purchasing says "SJCAM" on the front below the lense.

I admit that I was skeptical of the GoPro and this SJCAM product. However, the true test came when I took it to Hawaii for scuba diving. People on the boat had GoPro's and I had this SJCAM camera. The SJCAM took better and clearer photos underwater. The video also came out way clearer whereas the GoPro looked very cloudy underwater. The only negative I see with the SJCAM is the user interface is not as good as GoPro but I don't mind. This model will also not record audio underwater.

I love this camera. I came with a bunch of accesories picture is amazing. Would love if it recorded in mp4. The only downside is the microphone. A little low in my opinion. But for the price its a great action cam

Works great and most GoPro accessories are compatible so it's always easy to find different accessories.Owned my camera for a few months now and waterproof case works well. Battery life on average is about an hour at 1080p

What an awesome product! It exceeded my expectations and I'm really please with the quality of this product. The movies produces are just amazing. I had some challenges with the low-light photos but the movies came out excellent...the reason why purchased this in the first place. The accessories that came with it are high-quality and we have been using it for all kinds of applications. We put it on the car, skateboard (helmet), underwater, etc. Awesome!!!

I love this camera - it is so easy to use and takes great pictures and video. Used it on a zip lining adventure - and got terrific video of my wife and I having a great time.

I just received my camera today and I am disappointed. After reading and watching a number of reviews online between the SJCam vs GoPro, I felt the SJCam would be better for the price. Boy was I wrong. I personally have not owned a GoPro but I have friends who use them with no problems. So I guess the saying you get what you pay for, is correct in this instance. The SJCam camera kept freezing as I tried to access the photo lapse mode. When I was able to access the photo lapse mode, the timer did not work. Video quality seemed to be ok but the photo quality was subpar.

Il prodotto è molto valido con un prezzo molto competitivo!l ho preso x fare delle riprese aeree con drone senza spendere enormi cifre....devo dire che le riprese in full HD sono molto belle nonostante abbia una staffa fissa x il drone, ma la funzione della SJ che stabilizza l immagine è funzionante!l unica pecca è la batteria che dura circa una mezz'ora scarsa in full HD e il WiFi che non è ottimale, xo potrebbe dipendere dal telefono e dall'ambiente in cui ci si trova.molto ricca di accessori e attacchi di molti tipi!in conclusione è un ottimo prodotto x il costo che ha e per chi,come me,vuole iniziare a utilizzare x qualsiasi motivo queste sport CAM!ve lo consiglio!

Consegna avvenuta un giorno prima della data indicata, come sempre rapidissimi quelli di Amazon, complimenti!Prodotto integro e in perfette condizioni, completo di accessori.Qualità video eccezionale, un pò meno l'audio ma si sa che nelle action cam l'audio è sempre l'anello più debole.Devo ancora testarla per bene quindi non posso dire molto sulla durata della batteria, se non che dopo dieci minuti di utilizzo si è già abbassata di una "tacca". La durata media prevista va dai 50 ai 70 minuti, vedremo!

Il prodotto è di qualità medio-alta, ottimo per il rapporto qualità prezzo. Il funzionamento è immediato con il supporto della lingua italiana e la connettività con S5 Samsung è efficace. La consegna è stata puntuale, devo ancora verificare la durata della batteria. Consigliato.

Non sarà la go pro di ultima generazione, ma per le mie necessità va più che bene!! L'ho provata sul casco (su go-kart), in mare, sulla neve e le riprese sono sempre venute benissimo. Un po' basso l'audio, ma nel complesso sono più che soddisfatto. Inoltre, il prodotto è arrivato ben imballato e nei tempi previsti.
