Functional, but poor construction
This spice rack is aesthetically pleasing and a space saver. The containers are sturdy and serve their purpose well. However, I sometimes feel like it’s a game of spice roulette when opening the cabinet as the frame is slightly warped and spices find their way off the frame and into the pantry. On the upside, it is a space saver and I never have to pick the right spice because they jump off the rack for me!

Better than I think some reviewers lead you to believe...
So the bottles are made of glass. The caps are made of plastic which have been chrome plated. The caps are actually better than I think some reviewers let on. Mine seal just fine. The caps are a bit flimsy but not so bad that I cant tighten them down or feel like they will break in my hands. The glass bottles are quite sturdy. The one thing that I did notice which made me a bit nervous was that, if you fill these bottles to the top or near the top with a spice that has any amount of substance to it (i.e. salt or pepper or any powdered spice) the bottle starts to get top heavy and begins to lean forward out of the rack appearing as if though they will slide off the rack and tumble down onto whatever is beneath them. That I found somewhat concerning. Mine arrived with each glass bottle individually wrapped in cardboard. The packaging was fine. Everything arrived in one piece. That being said this part isnt a reflection on the product as much as it is the seller: CHEF'S CATALOG. As of Oct 1rst 2012: I knocked their seller review because the product did not arrive on time. In dealing with their customer service I found they were quite rude and didnt seem to care they missed the delivery date and attempted to blame amazon for it. Amazon does not sell or fulfill this order. The order goes straight to Chef's Catalog and they ship it. If you order from them and pick standard shipping (3-5 days) the package will be late and Chef's Catalog will tell you that their standard shipping is conveniently 7-10 days (shipped via Fed-Ex or USPS [mine was shipped USPS]) which is a really long time in my opinion. Also when you get your package it will be filled with coupons for other websites and a cheesy catalog from them that has QVC type products through-out it. Also expect to get a ton of junk mail after ordering from them.

No Replacement Jars
The product works fine. I mounted two of them on the wall with some hooks purchased separately. The smaller size is just right for my little kitchen. The lids are a bit too reflective - it makes them hard to read and fingerprints show easily. But for the price, they're great. The problem is that one jar arrived smashed. No problem, I thought, I'll just get a replacement for that one. Unfortunately, that's not possible. I can't return an entire set because I've used them and thrown out the packaging. And besides, I don't want to return an entire set, I just want one jar replaced. One. Jar. Neither the seller nor Amazon will replace one jar, and the seller doesn't sell jars individually.Sure, it's my fault for getting too far along to return the set, but what about everyone else? If you ever break a jar, you have to replace the whole thing? Or buy a mismatched jar from a different brand? So if you think it's remotely possible you might sometime ever in the future break one of these jars, then you should go with a brand that can replace individual jars as needed.

Five stars, all the way around! END THE SPICE CABINET DRAMA!
After reading all the reviews about all sorts of different spice ideas, and looking around in stores for months, I found out that some details are very important, and I'm really pleased with these bottles and racks.1. The bottles need to be close to the standard size of most spice bottles so you don't waste spices when you're filling them. These are the right size.2. The opening needs to be large enough to fit at least a teaspoon measuring spoon into. These are.3. The bottles need to have little shaker thingies as options. Also, it is helpful if some of the standard bottle sized shaker things (holes in the top, with the little flap that opens so you can pour a spice out as an option), from some of your old bottles, will fit. Most of them did on these.4. I like having the spices laying horizontally with the labels facing out, because it's a lot easier to see them than having to move a lot of bottles around and reading labels on the front. Also, they are just below eye level now, rather than up in a cabinet where I have to rummage around on my tiptoes or get a stool.5. Speaking of labels, I ordered some from Amazon as well, round clear ones (set of 100 and they were dirt cheap). Eight blank ones were included, and there were about 60 spice labels, and then some other household labels. These fit perfectly on the tops of these jars.6. I know everyone's cabinets are different, but I have one cabinet that all three (I ordered three racks) fit on at eye level, so I can easily see the labels. That's right, fifty four spices in one eye level cabinet, all neatly stacked and with all labels showing! It's terrific. Finally, I was very pleased with the price and quality. These are nothing fancy, but the tops screw on well, and the bottles feel solid. I even dropped a couple of them as I was filling them and they didn't break, though I wouldn't recommend trying that out!I got so inspired that when I realized I had about six bottles left over, with some unusual spice names on labels, I just got on Amazon and ordered the additional, more exotic spices to complete the collection. Things like saffron and anise seed, and some dried herbs that I grow fresh, but it would be nice to have on hand in dried form. Anyway, I am SO pleased.I love it! I want to cook something right now!

Difficult to handle, Overpriced & poor quality product
It's the worst product I hv ever purchased online. Lid have eventually discoloured within a month of use. Now those hv turned ugly and translucent. Bottles slip off the case (stand is not stable) . Container size is really too small for those who cook regularly. I could have purchased this with Rs. 100 from local market in ease. And it costed me more than 3500 including transit charges and other miscellaneous charges.

Simple and sturdy
GOOD:- Rack and bottles are nice and sturdy.- Good size and dimensions. It actually fits perfectly in my cupboard to the side, although I decided to keep it on the counter. It's not too deep, so it can be placed discreetly at the back of your counter against the wall, and all the jars are accessible and easy to see at a glance. (Unlike those dumb rotating spice racks)- It actually came with a set of blank labels – I didn't see that mentioned anywhere in the advertising or reviews. The included labels are plain white and big enough that they cover the entire lid. However, the sheet was folded, so the edges of some of the labels are bent. Since I wasn't expecting it to come with labels, I also ordered the "Kitchen Art 100 Clear Round" labels, which cost $3.50. Those labels work great with this spice rack, and look much nicer.NOT-AS-GOOD:- The lids are fairly flimsy and cheap-looking/feeling. It shouldn't really matter, though. You might be able to get replacement bottles (with lids) at a dollar store if necessary.- The shaker holes are too small for many of the spices I use (e.g. oregano, whole rosemary, chilli flakes, et c.). However, I rarely use the shakers anyway, so I just removed them all. If you want them, you could always cut bigger holes into the shaker caps if you wanted. I haven't tried it, but a hole-punch might do the trick?Update: I bought a second rack and have stacked it up on top of my first one, secured with zip ties. The combined double stand is sturdy.I was a little disappointed to find that the second stand one was wobbly (though that didn't end up mattering since it was suspended on top of the stable, lower one). Also, one of the lids was cracked and another lid was badly scuffed. So evidently the quality of the product is somewhat variable.

Beautiful and exactly as described, but smaller jars than I initially thought
The product arrived and looked beautiful. It fit in my pantry cupboard perfectly. It came with label stickers to write the names of spices plus extra for when I want to change the labels. My only issue is that I didn’t realize exactly how small the jars were. Each jar could not hold the amount of spice that came in those little spice bags so I end up having to continue storing those bags in the back of my cupboard. I will have to use them as refills when the jars become empty. I thought the point of having these jars is so I could have all my spices stored on one rack, but having to keep some spice in the small bags they came in sort of defeats the purpose. Still, I give this a high rating because the product itself is great—my own human error left me somewhat disatisfied, but that’s not the fault of the product. If you buy this set, just know that the jars don’t hold that much.

Dont even think about buying this. THe product is ...
Dont even think about buying this. THe product is really low quality. More than 6 plastic bottle caps were broken. The whole idea of buying glass vs plastic is ruined..
