I love having a cup of tea in the afternoon to get me over the slump of the day. I love that this only takes two minutes to boil!! By the time I get my cup and tea bag ready, the water is pretty much ready to go. I cannot say enough good things about this tea kettle. I love the auto off function and knowing that it will shut off and not boil dry. If you are looking to buy a tea kettle, give this one a try, you won't be disappointed.

I bought this electric kettle after staying at my girlfriend's who drinks tea regularly and she used an electric kettle. I was amazed how much faster this works for tea, or french press coffee, etc. than using a microwave. The ENTIRE pot is boiling in what seems like 1 minute! Easy set up, easy to clean, broscillate glass and I love the blue light at the bottom. I'm still mesmerized by how quickly this heats up and I've been using a microwave to heat up water for years. The electric kettle puts the microwave to shame!

Update 02 Nov 2020Unsolicited, Ikich reached out to me through email and offered to replace the unit stating that the warranty was for 24 months. I give them credit for providing excellent customer service and I received the replacement last week. Changed the rating to 4 stars (from 2) given their proactive outreach.Update 13 Sep 2020:I was using this unit until its replacement arrived and now water is leaking from the auto-off switch. So there's likely a water leak at the seal, where the glass meets the metal.Original review 11 Sep 2020:I bought this in July 2019 and the auto-off switch just broke. Now when the water boils, the unit doesn't shut off and just keeps boiling the water until manually turned off. I expected the unit last more than 14 months before having to replace it. That's too bad since I really liked using this unit, and liked the looks and styling of it.

I had an electric water kettle when they first came on the market. Bought a good name brand, one for me, one for my best friend, and one for my daughter. I was disappointed in the poor quality, and high pricetag. None of them lasted a year, and I could never get the tea stains out. I ordered this one last year, use it all the time, and was amazed at the bargain price. I love it—I use it to make tea by the cup or by the gallon, instant cereals, use it when cooking. My daughter uses it for instant potatoes, noodles, anything she wants quick. It is a great, solid, appliance and I just hand wash with dish soap, no stains that will not wash out. I just saw an IKich toaster they sell—I have an Oster, but think I would like the features of the IKich better. At half the price of the Oster that I have had for several years. This is one of the few reviews I have ever written, but I am so pleased with my water hotpot I had to write one. Della in WV, USA

In addition to this kettle doing what it is supposed to do, it is well designed. This is my first experience with a glass kettle, and aside from it being pleasant to watch the water coming to a boil, I like that I can so easily see how much water is in the pot so I can anticipate how much I want to boil and how long I might have to wait. Another plus is that the handle is balanced, non-slippery and comfortable to my grip rather than awkward and slippery like some of the other kettles I tried before purchasing this one. The only gripe I have is that the cord was kinked and there is more excess to reach the electrical outlet than I would have liked.

Love this teapot! This size is appropriate for the amount of hot drinks we make. If you can get away with a smaller version that holds less water, I would go for the smaller teapot because it would be easier to handle.This was the second teakettle I purchased from Amazon and I prefer this one over the first I owned, which was at the same pricepoint.

I love this water kettle. It is very nice. Seems well made. Easy to clean, which is why I bought it. I had the kind that had the coils at the bottom and you couldn't clean it well. This has a beautiful blue light around the base when it is working. Makes for a pretty night light. You can see it easily in the dark. Would definitely recommend.
