seems to work, great service, quality construction
Ordered this and got it amazingly fast with great notice and follow up from the vendor. It holds my Samsung Transform Ultra with room enough to spare for a protective shell and belt clip, too.I tested it briefly with an emf sensor app on another phone, and it did cut the emf according to that phone app. Granted, that is not rigorous testing with a tri-field meter, but it did make a measurable difference. Any decrease at all is helpful. The manufacturer was extremely friendly and got the item to me incredibly fast. I will definitely buy from them again.I also look forward to being able to test it under more rigorous conditions, to see if I can match the claims made for independent tests.I debated whether to give it 3 or 4 stars: on features, speed of delivery, and quality of construction, it definitely deserves 4 stars. If I can measure and verify the emf reduction, then I will change the rating to 5 stars. Since the whole point of using it is to block excess em radiation, I can't really give it 5 stars without more proof that it really does so.However, even as a simple cover, it is an easy 3. I will give it 4 stars for the benefit of the doubt.

Blocsock is Insurance against Possible Radiation Effects... bought more
I don't know why, but I recently had a concern about the fact I keep my smartphone in my pocket for a good part of the day. Was this a "smart" idea, or was there a potential problem with phone radiation? To address this concern, I searched for answers on the Internet. There were a lot of contraptions, many of which seemed to be too good to be true. The one that looked the most promising was Blocsock, not cheap at $24 for the high-end model with the pouch, but it did say it blocked 96% of the cell phone radiation from your body by having special radiation-blocking material on one side, with the side facing away from your body regular material so the phone could still communicate with the outside world. Cheap eBay knockoffs had material on both sides, meaning when you put your phone in them, your phone could't communicate with the outside world! Others did not have the testing results that assured how well the blocking material worked. There is a very detailed SAR test report validating the Blocsock, which I found at sustainablemobile.com. You can Google it. It is a very exhaustive testing report!I also searched around to see if cell phone radiation was anything to worry about anyway. I turned up enough information from a lot of different credible sources to convince me it was worth protecting against the possible damaging effects of this radiation. IF there is no real health impact, then having a protective device would be overkill, but I figured better overkill than discover in time people started developing problems as a result of heavy cell phone use.The Blocsock came quickly, ordered from the UK which was sent Royal Air Express at no extra cost, and fit my Motorola Triumph perfectly. They sell different sized Blocsocks in different colors, so if you order one, make sure it fits your phone. The Amazon vendor based in the UK, Cell Phone Radiation, was very helpful, answering my email promptly so I knew what model to order for my phone.I noticed the Blocsock hardly added any bulk to my phone, and fit comfortably in my pocket. I have a Rocketfish RF-MTVT2SP protective gel case and thankfully the phone fits the Blocsock without having to take off this case. The Blocsock is very easy to use, and is quick and easy to take out and answer the phone. Again, if you get one, make sure the size you order is right and not too tight or loose. The pouch on the Blocsock is handy when using the phone to call people so the phone can be placed in the pouch between the Blocsock and me, protecting my head from radiation while still enabling people to clearly hear me and vice versa.I liked the way Blocsock implemented this protection and the quality of the product construction, combined with the validated test results, so I recently ordered ones for the rest of my family. I think Blocsock is the BMW-class of what I could find for products that protect against cell phone radiation. My wife has a larger Droid phone and it fits in the case (just barely though)! I hope the makers consider making a larger model for all the new, larger smartphones that recently came out with the larger screen sizes. Again, check to make sure your phone fits, which a friendly message to the company will answer if you are not sure.I'm glad I spent the money to get this protection. Again, I consider this an "insurance policy" and hope cell phone radiation is over hyped. However, mounting evidence seems to indicate otherwise, so I feel more comfortable knowing I'm taking proactive steps to protect against a possible health problem I and my family might face in the future from long and close exposure to cell phones close to the body and head.

Does not work as described
After I received the little soft case in the mail, I belatedly researched the issue of EMF more, and found no reputable scientific evidence online that there is ANYTHING on the market to protect us. I even called Apple, since I have an iPhone, and they know of nothing and I believe they would be the first to sell something if there was anything that could work. So, I was very disappointed, not just in the money I wasted, but that the makers of this product are assuring us of something that is not actually true. I even believe the testimonials about it "working" are probably written by people connected to the manufacturer.

Highly recommended. When this one wears out
You may think that this "cellphone radiation" business is a lot of hokum, but I have at least anecdotal evidence that there is indeed something to it, and that this product actually works.I carry my smartphone in my left front pants pocket every day. After awhile, I began waking up in the middle of the night with an ache in the front of my left thigh muscle in the area that my smartphone rested when it was in my pants pocket all day. I had read about cellphone radiation, and wondered if that my be related to the muscle pain I was experiencing. I ordered a BlocSock (this item) for my Samsung Galaxy SIII smartphone. A few days after I started using the BlocSock cellphone case, the thigh pain went away. That was 1 1/2 years ago, and still no thigh pain. That case still works, but admittedly is getting worn.I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone, which is considerably larger than the Galaxy SIII. The S5 phone barely squeezed into my old BlocSock case. I looked online, but could not find verification that there was a larger BlocSock case available to fit the new, larger smartphones. I needed a new one anyway, so I took a chance and ordered this "iPhone" size case, apparently the largest such case currently available. My new case arrived today. It is indeed larger than my old case, and fits my Galaxy S5 phone perfectly! Highly recommended. When this one wears out, I will certainly buy another.

I just received this pouch today and it seems to be well-made. I did slide my phone into it (Droid Ultra) and it is snug, but fits. I think my son will also be able to put his ipod in the pouch which is helpful. I mostly bought this because my son puts his phone and ipod in his pocket all the time and I am concerned about the long-term effects of radiation exposure especially so close to his reproductive parts. Hopefully this will provide him with some protection from those elements.
