Buy this before you’ve finished “The First Seven Days”, because you’ll need ready! Normally, I’d be daunted or intimidated by a book with over 2,600 pages - twice as long as “War & Peace” - but, by the time I was halfway through, it wasn’t enough! I never wanted it to end, but I found comfort in the fact that there are more than ten books after this that keep the story going! I’ve since finished them all, eagerly awaiting “25”, but this was one of my favorites. It’s long because it’s essentially 7 books in one volume & there are so many new characters introduced that eventually become intrinsic & central to the overall story.Again, Mr. Haywood manages to weave suspense, terror, tension, fun & incredible side-splitting humor into every page. The story never relents & as we get to know each character a little more, so each one of them has added depth & dimensions.With the backdrop of the zombie apocalypse, one would imagine it is difficult to keep coming up with new ideas to keep the story fresh & not rehash old sequences of events, but the author does this flawlessly. The story remains fresh & exciting through the entire series & the writing is genuinely world class.There is absolutely nothing I would change about this book - if you liked the first one, you’ll love & adore this one. Run, do not walk, to get this in your library!

I love this series! All the twists and turns and the characters come to life with each page. I have laughed, cried and enjoyed every reading moment.

I am an avid Walking Dead fan, so I found this series to be an entertaining read. The characters and humor sometimes make me laugh out loud which I like - not all serious and gore. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a long series and the in-depth look at what a life in a day of the zombie apocalypse might look like.

An absolutely amazing work of literature! Brilliant work. The mistakes and typos are tolerable because the story is so fantastic. A definite tie for 1st place with Peter Meredith as being THE best zombie story ever written. Excellent job!

This is one of the best books I've read in a long time and on Kindle. It's a heart-tugger, humorous, well thought out and nicely written. Usually an author gets the first book right but slacks off or just doesn't follow through in the 2nd or 3rd book. I love all the characters. I was kinda hoping that he would push the Lord's Prayer theme more - nevertheless, I'm moving on to book 3.

The typos kind of drive me crazy... paragraphs ending in the middle of a sentence, mixing up the words were with we're, of with off, etc. But if you can get past that, which was hard for me and still is, it's a great story.I'm about 30% through this second book, I laugh out loud and I mean I'm hee-hawing about the stupid conversations between Howie and Dave, really entertaining at times. The sex scene, if you can call it that, between the movie star & farmer lady, is hilarious.But the dog! It's in the first "person" and it's just brilliant. I am tearing up reading what the dog is thinking half the time & worried about her all the time.Definitely a good read.

RR Haywood is truly a gift to us. I am stunned at his talent for creating such wonderful stories that touch ALL of our senses! I often times felt faint while reading, only to realize I was holding my breath, craving to know what was coming in the words ahead. I really had to laugh at myself when I was 60% through the book and felt panic that it was more than half done! Again, as in all of his stories, the characters feel so real and it always feels as though I am watching a movie. Vivid characters spring to life across the story. I have read most of his books and will read them all!! You should too, they are all brilliant!!!!! I can't wait to share the journey with Mr. Howie, Dave, the lads, Meridith, and the rest of the gang. Don't miss out on his books!!

It’s of humor. Cool characters and a completely different view point. Excellent job. Will definitely recommend this book to friends
