George Foreman Evolve Grill System Ceramic Grill Plates, GFP84PX

I just wanted to write a quick review to let people know that yes, the ceramic grill plates DO fit the GRP90WGR grill. I bought the grill in 2010 and the nonstick coating has started coming off the two plates I use most of the time. So, I ordered these ceramic ones in spite of some people saying they don't fit. I decided to take a risk. Well, I'm very pleased to say that YES, they do fit and YES, the lid closes just as it should. I will update later, if I remember, on how easy they are to clean. I saw a lot of negative comments about that, but again, decided to take a risk. The original plates are also hard to clean if you don't clean them immediately. I figure I will clean these immediately without letting bits cool and get stuck just like I always have with the other grill plates. Cleaning is always easier when you don't leave food to get stuck. Edit: I have used the grill plates now and I have to say that cleaning them is even easier than the original nonstick plates that came with the grill. All I did was wipe them off with papertowels and and they cleaned up really nicely. No scrubbing, nothing burned/stuck on. I took my hamburgers off the grill, wiped off the grill plates, and ready to eat! The only thing I can figure is that these other people saying they're hard to clean left them to cool and let the food remains get stuck on. Just wipe them off when you take the food off and there isn't any problem.June 23, 2019--I used this again this evening to cook lamb chops. I'm still loving these grill plates. They still look and work great, and I haven't had any problems with them.

I only bought these because I lost one of the original plates and hated the cross hatch factory top plate because it was a PAIN to clean (even after using the damp paper towel method to steam clean them). With these new ceramic ones, I was not expecting them to be better, not only are they better, they are beyond superior to the factory plates. The retain way more heat, I never had grill marks on the old plates no matter how long they pre heated for. The biggest upgrade is the clean up, nothing sticks to these plates, I cant believe it!!!!! From super lean meat to greasy bacon, clean up is a breeze! All I do is way a few minutes for them to cool and wipe them with a damp cloth and rinse under hot water and they are completely clean. No scrubbing, no fighting just 2 minutes of clean up is all thats required with these ceramic plates.

These plates are simply awesome. We have the GRP90WGR grill and got these plates because the coating on the original black teflon coated plates was starting to bubble and come off here and there. These ceramic plates are better than the original plates by a long shot. They clean up easier and when cleaning them it's amazing how slippery feeling they are. Also they are silver so it's easy to see when they are clean. Often times with the black plates they looked like they were clean and then when they dried you could see there was still film or guck on them. Lastly the top plate doesn't have that stupid herringbone pattern that the original top plate had. The original top plate was HORRIBLE to clean. With this ceramic set the top plate has the same rib pattern as the bottom and is equally easy to clean.One note to help set expectations -- these plates are not solid ceramic. I've never had ceramic cookware before and I was expecting the whole plate to be made of ceramic with the handles on the ends. They are a cast aluminum plate (just like the originals) but coated in a white nonstick coating instead of the original black teflon coating. I was curious what the coating was and called the customer service number. They said the ceramic coating is "a high tech coating designed to handle high, searing temperatures, that contains no PFOA or PTFE". So it's not just a white teflon/PTFE, it's some ceramic/enamel and it seems awesome so far.

My first set only last about a year. I learned a lot from using them. First, only use a sponge or soft-plastic scrubber to clean these grill plates. Second, apply a thin layer of olive oil with a paper towel after use to make sure nothing sticks the when using them next. This advice will make sure your they last much longer and that food doesn't stick, or discolor your grill plates.

Would purchase this product again.

I bought a set to replace my aging grill plates that original came with my foreman evolve grill. The original ones were tough to clean and food constantly was sticking to the plates while grilling. I would often have to carefully lift the lid of my grill to then pull food off the top plate because it had become stuck to the top grill plate. Cleaning was a nightmare as it would take extensive scrubbing and even resort to using steel wool (not supposed to). I used a cooking spray on the grill plates and that didn't help either.Now to compare to this set, Food never sticks to the plates and to clean - I just have to rinse with hot water and all the residue comes right off. I do some light washing to clean them up and they are ready for another use. I wish I had bought this set sooner. Saves me from buying another grill!Note - keep these out of the dishwasher to prevent the non stick coating from coming off.

Food started sticking right away. Not happy with quality. The first plates I had worked longer. These lasted a month. Now the whole top sticks. Poor quality. Changing brands sadly is my only option.

I bought the ceramic grill plates for my George Forman grill : model #GRP90WGR ( that had the small squares on the top plate hard to clean) I have had the grill for three years .. These ceramic plates FIT PERFECTLY !!! I was surprised after I used themhow easily they cleaned . After using i had just put them into the sick. an hour later, ( I grill two pork cutlets) I just wash them with a sponge and all the stuck on came off easily. I LOVE THEM !!! AND to my surprise after three years they fit.!! No more clean tiny squares! . YES !!!
