Great work with Diamond 225 speakers
This is a great addition to my Diamond 225 speakers. I love the Wharfedale natural sound for movies and music. Additionally they look really awesome especially with the speaker cover off.

A heavy hitter that brightens a pair of 11 series.
This speaker is on the smaller side of center channels. Yet it hits just as heavy as the bigger ones. This brings a nice top end edge to a pair of 11 series floor standers being used in a home theater application. Vocals are much more crisp and audible, while sharpening the overall sound of my 7.2 system.

New customer
I am a new customer to this brand, and I am a big speaker person, always looking for quality. The craftsmanship of this center speaker is absolutely fantastic. I am happy to have it sitting in the front of my room on display. And the sound is….WOW, super clear and precise.

Very Muddy Sounding out of the box, but can be corrected with room correction
This is my first Wharfedale speaker and I purchased due to the great reviews. I have two other centers that I use in other rooms (Magnepan CCR and Polk Legend L400) This was purchased for a smaller room. I am pairing it with a set of Energy speakers. I was not expecting the sound anywhere near my other two centers, but after reading the reviews I also was not expecting a speaker sounding this bad. It is so muddy in the mids. Voices do not sound accurate and sound like they are talking in a tin can. The highs are soft and not bright with little detail. The lows are nice and accurate. I have only let these break in for a few days now, but I don't expect them to change that much going forward. I have been running these flat, but will have to try and equalize them a little as I cannot handle the flat sound from these. I needed to get an efficient speaker as this system is run off of a Receiver. To be fair, I have never owned or listened to a center channel in this price point before. My favorite budget audiophile speakers by far are the Polk Legends. They are extremely accurate and detailed for the price. Although, considerably more than this Wharfedale. I have a feeling when people are talking about Wharfedale speakers, they are probably talking about their Lintons and not these. I know that all manufactures make budget speakers and these are those speakers. I will more than likely be returning this and purchasing a Polk.Pros: They are efficient which is nice if you want a loud speaker requiring little power. Nice looking and well built Good Lows Low Price PointCons: Very cheap sounding. NOT a budget Audiophile or Hifi Speaker in any way shape or form. Washed out and Muddy Mids No detailed highsUpdate:After alowing a substantial break in time and then using room correction on my receiver, the center channel has risen to the occassion. Sounds great and the mids are back and everything sounds good. It was either in bad need of room correction or this speaker just does not sound that great flat. I can say that this sounds almost as good as my polk, less the low end punch. If you have a receiver with good room correction and equalization, this speaker is actually very decent for the price. I have changed my review to 5 stars.
