Men's Gel-Fortitude 8 Running Shoes

I’m a big guy (6’1 265 lbs) and just started back running to lose some weight. I generally run in Nike vomero running shoes, but because of Nike’s recent decision to not sell the Betty Ross flag shoes, I decided I will no longer give Nike my business. So I read some reviews on running shoes for big guys and decided on these ASICS. I must say, these shoes are awesome and are way more comfortable on my feet compared to the Vomero’s. I’m really loving the fit of these shoes. I will definitely get another pair when needed and these are now my go to running shoe. Thanks Nike for hating America. Now, ASICS, please keep politics out it. 🇺🇸

Solid support for light workout if you’re a heavier weight. Great help with foot fatigue if doing a lot of standing or walking. Until you wear it down, feels similar to standing on a fatigue mat. One of the few name-brand tennis shoes that work well with orthotics. Have purchased the gel fortitude style through the years & the style & quality have remained constant. Men’s are convertible for women if you like more standard colors, order size & a half smaller to convert women to men sizing (for ex women 9.5=men 8). These seem to me to be similar to Nike tennis shoe fit on arch and length. If you’re carrying a little extra weight & physically active, the Support will decrease after about 6 months but that’s the generally recommended replacement timeframe for any athletic shoe. This is great pricing for quality athletic shoes, & this current seller shipped without any delay.

I love these shoes. As a P.E. teacher, personal trainer, and group fitness instructor, I am on my feet all day, every day. By the time I get home, my feet should be screaming at me, but with these shoes they leave my feet feeling great!

I have a particularly wide foot and for the longest time the Gel Fortitude was the only shoe I could find that had the width I needed and enough clearance to fit a good arch support insole. Then the Fortitude 8 came out, the thing to note here is that while in previous versions the XW variety was 4E. It's 2E now in the 8, meaning I can't get a shoe wide enough without getting something ridiculously too long for my foot. And so I've had to resort to the dreaded brand with the giant N on the side. I am disappoint.

I ordered these shoes because my last Asics running shoes started getting holes in the top of the middle toe area on both shoes. These shoes I just bought are the same size but actually fit better in regards to width, and have more protection in the top of the toe area which my other's didn't just webbing with a light film on the inside. The film started to deteriorate on the last shoes which were 6 mo old. I hope these last longer. But the shoes feel great walking trails with hills.

These shoes are awesome. I am a big man. 6’4” 300 lbs but in good physical shape. First running shoes I have bought that fit amazing, perform well and my feet don’t hurt after a run. Recommend these to larger men or anyone who runs. Very comfortable.

I love the color of these ( Off White/Cream Color with the black). Have received several compliments already. Put my own shoe inserts in them because I have a really high arch.

Love my ASICS in general. This pair is for hanging around in. Doesn't feel super stable but very comfortable. Very well ventilated..so much so I felt the cool air coming through the mesh on top.
