Pletscher Zoom ESGE Kickstand

Decided to try a different kickstand. Had been using the Greenfield kickstands. Greenfield have to be hack sawed to fit your bike. This kickstand is adjustable. Mounted to my son's vintage schwinn world sport. Found the right height so the bike doesn't fall over, as I had this problem with the Greenfield and didn't want to commit to sawing it to size.Time will tell if this kickstand holds up.

The stand fits my wife's bike very well and for the most part functions well. I am providing this review because I had to buy a replacement after the initial stand leg broke in half after a swift kick to get it tucked away. In fairness, it was a cold day and the metal was probably brittle. The stand works, but it is clearly unable to withstand the rigors of normal use and should be treated in a dainty manner to extend its lifespan. If I could find another stand to fit I would've gotten it instead. YMMV.

Great Kick stand. I am using this to replace the Kickstand on my Dahon Vitesse D7 HG (20 Inch Wheels). This kick stand as it name implies fits virtually any bike. Main part of the unit is Aluminum with Drill holes to move up and down the Plastic Foot which attaches securely with allen key and twin bolt recessed nuts combo very slick.If your wondering a lot of kick stands now a days are hollow to be cheap and save weight but can collapse or break, as happened to me after a year of heavy use an abuse. I was tempted to go with the Double also made by Pletscher but its almost tousle the weight around pound versus 1/2 pound for the single.This stands much more stable then the OEM and really locks into both recessed and and standing position with great authority.

Easy to install and very stable. I love that it has the adjustable end part so I could customize it to my bike height. I have a Giant Cypress with the XL frame. Definitely worth the money instead of dealing with those crappy ones the bike shops stick on bikes when you buy them. Definitely don't pay them for one of those all chrome, cheapos that are too long most of the time and make your bike fall over. Just order on of these and you'll be set.The bottom part is plastic, which I was disappointed with at first, but it's a hard, sturdy composite material, and I guess it works better as the part that's always hitting the ground.

The Swiss make great chocolates, watches and cheeses.... who knew they also make wonderful bicycle kick stands? Well... I do now. And, so will you when you buy this for your 2 wheeler. Sleek design and good construction. A nice reassuring locked-in feel that lets you know this kick stand will not deploy unless you want it to.

I heard about the Pletscher kickstand through a cycling forum. It is lighter than other kickstands, adjustable, and easy to install. The kickstand is made in Switzerland which makes it uber kool! There is a debate on whether or not cyclists should use a kickstand. This is especially for those concerned about the added weight. However, I tell you what...having a kickstand is much better than laying your bike on the ground.Get one - you will love it!!

Seemed good enough and a little lighter than the others. Unfortunately, it would not fit my bottom bracket due to cables. Be aware that if you have to return it you will have to pay over six bucks return shipping.
