Reliable Bargain Glider
We have had this chair for over a year (our daughter is 15 months old now) so we have gotten a lot of use out of it.I’ll give it a 4, but if a 3.5 was available, I’d probably give it that. One of us has used his chair daily (usually multiple times) since our daughter was born. I’m 5’8 and her dad is 6’3. The size of the chair is great, we started off in an apartment in Seattle where we didn’t have a ton of space and it was compact enough that it still worked well. I wanted a glider with a foot rest, but our space at the time wouldn’t allow it.Comfort level is alright as well, I’d give it a 7/10. It’s not a chair that you sit down in and melt into, but it’s alright. The firmness was good when was still nursing. The cushions also seem to have held up well and aren’t deteriorating.I do have a couple comfort issues with it that I run into - when I recline and want to lean it all the way back I basically can’t. I have to scoot all the way up and use my body weight to make it stay, otherwise it pops right back up. And I am not a small person. Her dad who is 6’3 and over 220 doesn’t have a problem with this, but someone who is even a bit small would definitely have an issue. For some reason I also have a problem with the arm rests when I recline - at the height they are, my arms ALWAYS fall asleep. It’s super awkward and uncomfortable when you’re trying to hold a baby. I’m not docking any points for the arm thing, because it’s obviously a personal problem, but it may be worth noting to someone. The foot rest is also borderline impossible to push in when you’re sitting down - much like others have noted. I think I’ve gotten it down once while sitting and don’t even bother anymore. It will go back in if you’re standing and give it a good shove with your foot. Needless to say, with a baby you just got to sleep and need to move this can be tenuous, lol. I ultimately rarely recline it anymore.Overall, it’s a decent recliner. For the price point we paid, about $300 I think it’s reasonable. It’s a much better just plain glider than recliner. If you’re considering it and have a budget limitation of about the $300 range like we had at the time, I think it’s a good deal. Especially if you’re just using it as a swivel glider - if it was just that, I probably would give it a 5 it’s all the other things that’s dropped the score for me.But the next time around I will definitely be getting a different, more expensive glider. (Probably not a recliner style)Pros:- Holds up well- easy to clean fabric (miraculously no stains!)- good swivel motion, like that it can turn 360 degrees- compact- price point for productCons:- anything to do with the recline or foot rest- has started squeaking a bit (wd40 can fix it)- the color is a little weird, definitely has a greenish hue- if you’re a small person, may not work well for you

Long but detailed review
I added this chair to my baby registry back in April or May because I wanted something on the smaller side that rocked, swiveled, and reclined for the nursery. When I added it to my list this chair was about $275. Within a month the chair had increased to about $350. I was upset but I told myself $350 wasn't unreasonable and someone might still buy it for me. Within another month the chair was up to $555! I could not believe that this chair more than doubled its price, so I furiously took it off my registry and bought something else. I even reached out to Amazon and they had no explanation for the price increase. I randomly decided to check the price this week to see if it increased even more, and the price was down to $211! I don't understand how a vendor can change the price so drastically, but we bought it so we can have another chair in our living room. Here are my pros and cons:Pros:- The fabric is incredible! It looks like it will feel like tweed or something on the rougher, but the fabric is so soft! It feels more like suede. Also, I love the Carlton Desert color. It's got a greenish tint to it, which I like.- It's comfortable. The cushions are on the firmer side, but its still nice to sit in. I like that I don't sink into it. It makes it easier to get up (especially when holding a baby).- It's quiet. Going back to getting out of the chair with a baby, the chair makes no noise, so I can stand up and not worry about the chair waking her up. The other chair I have is very noisy when getting out of it and always wakes her!Cons:- The price! I don't understand how it can fluctuate so much and this chair is definitely not worth the $555 it peaked at. If you're thinking about buying it and the price is more than $300, I would wait until the price goes down. I don't think it's worth more than that.- The swivel motion isn't as smooth as I was hoping. You can feel it clicking as you rotate it left to right.- As previous reviews state, the footrest is hard to put down. You really have to push to get it to lock into place.Final note: if you're short, this chair probably isn't the best choice for you. My husband and I are both 6' and when we sit in it our feet are barely flat on the ground. A shorter person might have trouble reaching the floor or might not be able to comfortably sit back all the way. I'm not listing it as either a pro or a con because it could be either depending on who's buying it.

Footrest
I dislike the footrest which does not easily close.

Mediocre chair
We purchased two chairs four months ago. I’m 5’3 and my husband is 6’2. The seat is 20 inches off of the ground and my feet cannot touch the ground flat. I can touch with my tiptoes to rock the chair if needed. The chair back is just tall enough for him to recline comfortably. The chair swivels fine and rocks well. The reclining feature is sometimes difficult to close needing to push hard to close it - often times needing to get out of my chair to close it. The arm of one chair is falling apart but this could be due to kids using the chair as well. Overall, if you are looking for an inexpensive rocker and recliner, this gets the job done. However, you get what you pay for. Don’t expect super high quality. Think Ikea.

Great chair. Great price. Almost perfect.
Excellent chair, especially at the price. Very easy to assemble. It is difficult to kick the foot rest back into place, and I'm a big strong dude. If you don't mind getting out of the chair with the foot rest up and in the decline position then it is a five star chair. Great quality and beats many very expensive nursing chairs at double or triple the price.
