Replacement Battery - Compatible with APC BACK-UPS ES BE500U

When this battery arrived, it was different from the battery both described and pictured. The battery I got was a more powerful battery. I called the company and they were very nice. They even sent me some terminal adapters.The battery works fine. I have no idea how long it will work, but I liked the person at customer service. I appreciated him sending me the terminal adapters. When I looked at the specs and reviews on the battery I got, they were better than on the one I ordered.

So far. just OK; day 1. Please take note; the 1270 I received was not a UB brand, the tabs were F1 (smaller) so if are looking for a replacement for APC ES-5XX these will require adapters, the F2 terminal is .250" wide, the F1 is .187" wide. My battery came with F1 terminals.

How to resurrect an APC UPS. I searched the internet for the symptoms (the unit would power on but begin shrieking about 8-10 sec in, no recharge, no finish coming on). Pried out the old battery, ordered replacement. I had to sand some corrosion off the spade clips but that was it. It's still running now. Pay $20 now or $60 now.

"New" battery lasts about 2 minutes in UPS while only powering a cable modem. Support services are slow and ask for troubleshooting that would not normally be able to be performed by the everyday user, such as checking voltages. While the support team provided an RMA for a 1 week old order, they refused to cover shipping. In order to ship this battery, special shipping must be purchased. Its silly to be asked to spend $15 to ship a $22 battery. I'd just assume take to a recycler and buy a new, brand name, battery.

The battery came in today and was a perfect fit for the APC ES BE 500U. The battery seemed to be fully charged and immediately after installing it and loading the software I got a fully charged indication on the battery. The only minor problem was the excessive tape around the contacts; it took several minutes to get the tape off and it left a slight sticky residue in isolated spots on the battery which is no really great problem, just a little annoying is all.Right now it's in place and doing its job but if anything noteworthy happens I'll update this review.

The original battery sent did not work and the manufacturer sent me a email and fixed the problem. They tested another battery at the factory and sent one that worked. The original battery did not hold a charge and caused the charger to beep incessantly.I loved the customer service follow up! They were great. Because I was going to post a write up about a black brick that was better than a door stop. I highly recommend this company because of the product and the follow up.

This battery replaced one that has been saving my bacon for more than five years. And this new one costs less than that old one did back then. The only problem I have is that there are no instructions whatsoever included. I'd like to know if it is best to leave the unit on all the time, or turn it off and on each day.

Bought these for replacement of a APC Power Supply since APC no longer support it. Purposely waited a while to review. Is still working great six months in.

I've had it for a month and it seems to work fine. Have not needed to use the UPS for more than a few moments though.

Like the title said it just works. 7 hours my modem and router stays on during a power outage, I can't complain.
