Delightfully simple and sophisticated, the Tissot Men's T-Sport PRC200 Watch should have a home on every man's wrist. Its understated presence kicks off with a circular 40mm stainless steel case and a fixed stainless steel bezel. The right side of the watch features a stainless steel screw-down crown and two pushers. The silver dial, which is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, offers luminous silver-toned stick hour markers and hands, which are powered by battery-operated quartz movement. Arabic numerals at the 3, 9 and 12 o'clock positions, a date display at the 4 'o clock position and three chronograph sub-dials with 60-second, 30-minute and 1/10th-of-a-second displays also grace the dial. A brown coco-embossed leather band straps the watch to your wrist, while a luxurious deployment clasp makes sure it stays there. Finally, the watch offers water resistance up to 660 feet (200 meters) and a tachymeter around the outer rim of the dial.

A different perspective
I wanted to write a review on this particular watch, the Tissot Men's T17151632 T-Sport PRC200, that provides a slightly different perspective than one usually finds reading watch reviews. That is to say, I write from the perspective of a general watch skeptic, not an enthusiast. My personality is such that I can rationally understand, but never emotionally appreciate, spending lots of money on, or building a collection of, something's whose primary functional purpose is largely approximated by a five-dollar timepiece. Basically, I regard watches as solely jewelry, an extravagance that still remains one of the few things the well-dressed man can accessorize with. So, when I bought this in November 2012, I was looking for a "one-stop" watch that would satisfy my personal criteria: Ideally, my choice would last me a long time (durability), display the time accurately, and be aesthetically "clean" (minimal). Since I bought this watch, in November 2012, I'm happy to report that it is completely satisfying all those expectations; I'm really glad I stepped it up from where my usual budget might be to purchase it.I wanted to take the time to highlight the few facets of the watch I really appreciate, in order of their importance to me:1. Its versatility. When I bought this, I wanted something that would pair with both casual and dressy outfits. I was primarily concerned with the former, because that's the style of outfit I wear most. I find the rough, chocolate brown strap of the watch really dresses things down; it feels perfectly natural, for me at least, to wear this with blue jeans and sneakers. It avoids the problem with other gold and silver watches I had previously owned that I never really felt I could pair with casual outfits. However, I've found this watch also serves well when I want to dress things up a bit; I missed it at first perusal, but the watch glimmers well because of its large size and the highly polished, wider, stainless steel side. I find it's a nice balance; my watch isn't constantly glimmering in mine or others' faces, which can be fairly ostentatious, but seems to catch the eye once and then let things be.2. Its easy to read.I hadn't really appreciated this from the pictures, but I find reading this watch much easier than my previous, lower-quality ones. It's a combination of the relatively bigger face, and the brilliant addition of the sapphire crystal glass, which is amazingly clear. My silver Citizen's face, which I wear less often now, seems very hazy in comparison, and I realize now that combined with the closeness of the minutes hash marks on that watch, meant that truthfully I never much was using it for telling actual time. I find now that with my Tissot, I am pulling my iPhone out less often and relying on the watch more to figure out when I need to get somewhere, which is great, particularly when I don't want to be distracted.3. The watch face is simple, and minimalist.I find the separation of the chronograph faces, instead of the artful way other watches combine them, makes that functionality slightly easier to use. At least, I find myself using the chronograph functions more with this watch, but perhaps it's its other worthy qualities that are driving that. Still, I love the choice of the colors Tissot used for the watch hands, a pale gray green (which is strongly luminscent in the dark), and the tiny dash of red found in two of the chronograph's numbers, which mix well with the stark clean white of the background. That aesthetic appreciation might be wholly sentimental, and probably not generalizable, but still, I still find myself occasionally looking at the face from time to time, just admiring it.4. Tissot is a mid-market company providing value.I did a little research Googling through watch forums before buying this watch, to double check the reputation of Tissot. It pleased to me to find that Tissot was in general endorsed, with commenters saying it was a mid-market Swiss company, providing value by including a few of the embellishments of much higher-priced watches. In particular, the sapphire crystal face, which I love, seems to be something that is rare at the price point this watch is being sold at. What pleased me most was that Tissot was mid-market, which I find for most things is where I derive the most value; unlike cheaper Citizens and Fossils I have owned prior, I don't expect this watch to just stop ticking on me anytime soon. Another impression I got was that Tissot was relatively unknown, which I was also happy to hear, because it meant I wasn't being fleeced by a "fashion watch" or some like, which are often sold at much higher prices than the "intrinsic" value of their components. Finally, reassuring to me was the fact Tissot is a Swiss company; Swiss and Japanese watch companies seem particularly recommended for the quality of their timepieces.5. The price.I was pleased at the price (and discount) I bought this watch at, because as mentioned earlier, Tissot seems to include a few of the embellishments of much higher priced watches in their products. The price was not too much and not little; it was not too much, because it was well within of my budget of around $750, the price of the single most useful item I own (my iPad). It was not too little, because I've had too many problems with batteries dying and watches stopping with lower-priced "legitimate" manufacturers, like Citizen and Fossil; in addition, it wasn't excessively discounted, like the wares of certain manufacturer. (The question that comes up in my mind: "If they're lying about the RRP, a price that their watches never sell at, what are else are they lying about?")The one con that comes to mind: Couldn't Tissot include some instructions on how to open the deployment strap in the casing? Its opening seems to frustrate alot of people, including myself at the beginning. Some instructions or a video on their website would go a long way to alleviate those frustrations. My verdict: I love this watch, and give it my most enthusiastic recommendation.

I WISH THERE WERE NEGATIVE SCORES
I have bought several -several- watches from amazon. I decided for this Tissot watch Tissot Men's T17151632 T-Sport PRC200 Watch assuming that it would be a also a good experience. I wanted a "more mature" looking watch. The thing is the watch came DEAD. Not working. The very same day I got the watch, I started and inquiry to return it, I followed amazon's instructions, and when I went to drop off the watch to UPS to return it to amazon, I got the bad news: I NEEDED TO PAY to send back a clock that was not working in the first place....(and that I have paid, not only for the original shipping and handling, and a non-functioning watch, but now I needed to pay to send it back.) COME-ON!!!. Anyways. I have bought several watches from amazon, This bad experience is a first to me. I guess Tissot is still a great brand. But, I would definitely recommend NOT to buy this model of Tissot.....unless you want to take a chance. I decided to take the watch to a local Tissot-Dealing jewelry to get it fixed. Don't want to pay to send it back. I'd rather lose the money altogether.

Lets clear some things up.
I read many reviews before purchasing this watch, not just on this particular product but many watches in this price point. My reviews were not only limited to Amazon but many sources including knowledgeable watch connoisseurs that I know personally. My money, like many of you I'm sure, is not something I like to spend on cheap products. I made myself very aware of what was out there. I am fairly new to collecting in the watch world and still have a lot to learn, however I feel that many that purchased this product have much more to learn as well after reading a lot of the comments. First lets address the leather issue I've seen discussed. People have said that it is cheap, plastic. This couldn't be further from the truth. The watch is actually a crocodile grain leather. If you are familiar with crocodile leather it is more glossy and stiff than patent leather and also more durable. It is one particular reason I bought this watch because I loved the crocodile band.Secondly lets talk about the clasp. It is a deployment clasp, this is a good thing. A deployment clasp is used for both functionality and durability. It saves you from bending and cracking the leather like you would with a normal clasp and if you know how to use it effectively allows you to put on and take off the watch a lot faster. For anyone that is struggling with this clasp watch this video. [...].This is a great watch. Everything about it is nice in quality, all the features of the chronograph work flawlessly. It has a classic design that will ever go out of style and can be worn casually or formally. Great value, great design, great watch.

Belle montre.

Very pleased with watch & 1st order from Amazon Warehouse
This was my first order from Amazon warehouse, the watch was presented nicely and even though not brand new mint condition was still very good. A rip & a couple of creases on packaging, stickers removed from face and partly from clasp & a couple of VERY slight scuffs on polished watch body.I don't think the condition would be quite suitable for a gift (unless to a very close friend) but as a purchase for myself I am pleased - the small scuffs are the sort of thing a highly polished watch would pick up in a day or two anyway. The watch itself is great, things I love:- Sapphire glass. Screw down crown. Beautiful dial - lovely colour and small circles round sub dials and outer scale. Screw down case back.Things to note:- This is a very chunky watch - I love this type but others may feel it is a bit too chunky. The 30 min chronograph carries on running after 30 mins from zero again. - Just wanted to mention this as I have a Seiko which stops after it's one hour maximum and a Momentum Cyclone which resets and carries on after it's 12 hours maximum and I could not find out what this one did by Googling. The Amazon picture makes the case appear Matte/bead blasted finish - it is not it is polished (looks great, just wanted to mention it in case it helps anyone.I had some worries about how clear the hands would be against the white/silver background - I have found them great, the hands are flat and shiny enough to catch any light/reflections so often appear dark & the very green lume strip stands out.The crown is marked with the Tissot 'T'.The chrono 2nd hand (large center hand has a 'T' shaped bottom which I think is a nice touch. The movement is apparently a low end Swiss ETA G10 movement - I don't think it really matters too much with quartz as I have a 22 year old Accurist with a plastic Miyota (Citizen) movement that has had about ten batteries but never missed a beat in the 22 years (keeps time to approx 12 seconds a month - not brilliant but not terrible). So for me with quartz a nice face and good case are more important than the movement - other people may value the movement more.
