Fantastic opuntia oil
Opuntia oil is great for skin and hair - I use it in the evening for my skin and an hour before washing my hair to make both softer. The scent is okay, the quality is great, the application is easy as it comes with a dropper. Very lightweight yet moisturising and effective. Great value for money.

Helped me make a lovely moisturiser
Got this to make up some moisturiser and it is apparently a good carrier oil for that kind of thing, as it brings its own benefits as well as giving you the benefits of the addition essential oils that are added to it. I normally get carrier oils in bigger bottles, but as I was just testing this out this size was perfect.I mixed it with rosehip, frankinscense and sandalwood. They mixed great and the end result was just what I wanted, which was an anti-aging moisturiser. It is a totally natural and pure, undiluted oil, so you can all the benefits of the pickly seed oil without having any nasty additives thrown in, and that mean that the moisturiser I made was pure too.I did try the oil on its own as a moisturiser and it worked well and wasn't greasy, and absorbed well. All in all, an interesting carrier oil that I will definitely be using again in the future.

Lovely oil with a delicate fragrance
Now I am a prolific use of all natural oils to go with my products that I make from essential oils. I have to admit, though that I have never come across prickly, pear seed oil before. So I was delighted to give this a go.Comes packaged well with a spare dropper with a nice golden white top to it to make utilising it very easily rather than having to wait for it to come out of those really annoying tops the most oil come with.In terms of its consistency, it’s like a jojoba oil thickness. It does have a fragrance to it, but it’s very light and it reminds me of something but I can’t think of what it is but I think it might be the pear flavoured sweets we used to have in the 1980s. But in a nice way, not a fake chemical way. It’s quite delicate.I make my own face oils and handle oils, and so I’m gonna experiment using this as my night oil, and for my hands, as like most people, they become like dried out bits of paper in the winter.

Excellent Product
I recently tried the Prickly Pear Seed Oil, and I am genuinely impressed with its quality and effectiveness. Packaged in a convenient 30ml bottle with a dropper, this oil is easy to use and ensures precise application, which is particularly useful given how potent it is. It’s 100% pure, natural, undiluted, and uncut, so you get the full benefits of this luxurious oil.The texture is beautifully lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue, making it perfect for both day and night use. I’ve been using it on my face, focusing on dry areas and fine lines, and I’ve noticed a visible difference in my skin’s texture and hydration. My complexion looks smoother and more radiant, and any dry patches are significantly softer.I also appreciate that this oil is rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, which help in nourishing and protecting my skin from environmental damage. It feels very soothing and is gentle enough for sensitive skin, with no irritation whatsoever.Overall, the Prickly Pear Seed Oil is a fantastic addition to my skincare routine. It feels high-quality, and a little goes a long way, so even with daily use, the 30ml bottle should last quite a while. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a natural way to hydrate, rejuvenate, and care for their skin!

Quality product at a good price
The only thing I didn't like was the eyedrop dispenser but I just changed it to a different bottle for ease of use!

Pure organic oil with a unique scent
The product is supplied in a 30ml glass amber bottle with a glass dropper. The product arrived sealed in a neatly branded box which was fully sealed in shrink wrap. The oil has a golden hue and a quite strong and distinctive scent. I was not sure about the scent initially, but after a few minutes I decided I like it. I also like that this is pure and undiluted organic oil with natural vitamin E and antioxidants The oil is easily massaged into the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and smooth. There is no trace of oiliness, which is a definite plus.If you want to use prickly pear oil this is a quality product that is definitely worth trying out.

An expensive oil that may not be cold-pressed, organic or unrefined
The Alvia prickly pear seed oil, also known as Opuntia ficus-indica seed oil, arrived in a film wrapped printed cardboard box - suitable for a gift. The film wrap around the box and around the bottle is not recyclable 👎.The oil (30ml) is contained in a brown glass bottle and arrives with a glass pipette with a plastic top. The BBD is 07/26.Prickly pear seed oil is an increasingly popular skincare ingredient. Derived from the seeds of the prickly pear cactus, this oil is packed with nutrients and antioxidants including linoleic acid (Omega-6 (aids hydration), vitamin E and betalains( free radical scavengers), vitamin K and minerals such as potassium and magnesium. These all provide potential benefits for the skin. The Alvia prickly pear seed oil is a carrier oil - not an essential oil - so it can be used directly on the skin as a moisturiser or you can add essential oil to the carrier oil - to use the essential oil safely. A useful tip is if you have a tsp of carrier oil - each drop of essential oil is a % increase - so one drop is 1% and 5 drops is 5% etc. There are no claims on this product that the oil is cold-pressed, organic or unrefined but under the ingredients they do not list any other oils - so I have to assume this oil is 100% pure prickly pear seed oil without any added fillers or fragrances. The oil does hydrate the skin well and is a good moisturiser. The current price point is £14.20 for 30ml (£946.70/l) - so it is an expensive oil if you compare the price to a litre of extra virgin oil which is also full of good ingredients for skin. Nevertheless if you want prickly pear oil there are both lower cost and higher cost substitutes on Amazon - personally I would look for a cold pressed, organic and unrefined version to maximise the possibility of the nutrients and antioxidants.
