My husband was diagnosed with diabetes in early 2015. We are still struggling to get it under control. Thusly, we have tried many different products specified for diabetics.This is one item I'm particularly happy with. One of the struggles my husband had is that he would occasionally need an insulin shot or a blood test when we were away from the house. This was a terrible inconvenience as we sometimes had to drive quickly back home. That was an accident waiting to happen.This nifty little kit will hold all you'd likely need for short trips away from your supplies. It's not very big. Just a bit harder than my hand. (As you can see from my photos). The compact size makes it able to fit easily into pockets, purses or glove compartments, etc. That way you have your supplies readily available to you in case you suddenly need them.Inside, it has two cloth holders where you can slide in two syringes. It looks like you might be able to make a couple more fit in, depending on the size of the needles. The opposite side has a mesh pocked likely intended for holding your insulin bottle or testing strips.It comes with two reusable ice packs. They are each about the size of a hot dog. (See pics) They work quite well for keeping his insulin gently chilled. As any diabetic knows, it isn't good to allow your insulin to get too warm.All in all, I'm quite happy with this little kit. It has held up remarkably wrll. Should it eventually wear out, I would not hesitate to buy this exact one as a replacement.
