Skechers Men's Segment Melego Ankle Bootie

Really good and rugged hiking boot. I took these out on a 7 Mile round trip in rugged terrain and they held up amazing. The grip and comfort really stood up to the test the entire day. I live out west and I am really hard on my hiking boots with varying terrain conditions. I did not take these through a soft forest floor or just flat terrain in the woods, but I'm sure they would work well for that after putting them through what I did. To give you some back drop, my other pair of hiking shoes are Adidas, which I really like as well and have amazing grip, but I needed a high top for ankle support, so I took a chance and bought these. My main hiking shoe is Adidas ax2 with the traxion sole which has amazing grip and they have been very good for the last 3 years. The Adidas are very light so I was a little concerned that these boots would be too heavy or not breathe very well and that's to be expected since they are a boot and waterproof. I went up and down all sorts of types of terrain and I will attach photos to give you just some idea of the type of terrain that these hiking boots went through with very little sliding and for the most part all day comfort. When I first put these on they were super soft and extremely comfortable. Build quality is very good..the materials they use are of high quality and this is probably the most comfortable hiking boot I've ever put on, but it made me a little concerned that they wouldn't be rigid enough to handle the type of terrain that I hike. I'm used to more mesh type of hikers, but these boots were light enough that they didn't bother me too much. Breathability could be better, but again they are a waterproof boot and made probably for more cooler weather so they are a little bit hot, but not too bad. If these hold up I think I found my new all-around hiking boot. The value and the material used and the overall traction that these provided me really add up and make this an all-around great hiking boot and not just for light trails either. I always test out my new hiking boots with a good trail with different areas requiring the boot to deal with steep upgill and downhill on loose and rough terrain and I even went over a stream, but I did not fully submerge..just about an inch through it and no water came through. I should also note that along the sides of the boot looks like air vents, but is actually not. Going up a very steep mountain the traction was great.. coming down the traction was equally as good. Tbh they exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Comfort 5/5 Traction 5/5 Weight 4.5/5 Breathability 3.5/5 Style 5/5 Durability still yet to be determined. I'll try to update with more trial use.

My husband just loves the style of these boots. They are light weight, perfect fit right out of the box so no break in time. They are durable with perfect arch support and a price that is affordable. Love Skechers for both men and women .

nice comfy shoe that works well in most conditions, it initially seemed somewhat light and cheap but after wearing a year I liked them good enough to buy another pair

Very comfortable casual boots. Definitely not for work, but I think great for hiking, walking through a small amount of snow (I haven’t had a wet foot yet) and casual wear. I’ve had them for a couple months now and wear is normal thus far. Edit: April 2021 - Shoes are holding up. Shoes themselves are wearing (softening) I did have to buy new insoles. Stock ones were ripping. No biggie. Shoes have gone on hikes, snow, general walking, I have no complaints. I did work in my crawl space, definitely not made for working on your knees. No toe support. Other than that, my favorite pair of boots. Will purchase again when needed. Edit: November 2021 Boots are mush and falling apart. Feet now get wet in dew grass. Lasted a little less then 2 years. I still wear them but are definitely on the way to the garbage soon. I used them heavily, hiking, working around the house, everyday use. Sad to see them go.

i have been buying this boot/shoe for over 6 years now, and i do buy them in 2 pairs, great work shoes, and with a bit of water proof spray on it, it lasts for months. and yes it keeps the feet dry even in soaking rain, i know, i am a mail man and i wear these everyday, rain or shine, or snow. will be buying more for sure.

I just received these shoes and put them on. Wow, they were comfortable and were wide enough for my wide feet. There is no pain or tightness even with the thicker socks I have on. I recently ordered a similar shoe from Timberline in a wide width. However, even though the Timberline's were wide, they were not wide enough - even with a thinner sock. These shoes are very nice looking and the dark brown color is a great shade of brown. The other noticeable plus with this shoe is that it is rather light weight. The only negative issue is, as with most of the Skechers shoes I have purchased, there is not enough arch support. I'll be adding an insert. I'll also be purchasing a second pair.

What can I say? They do indeed boot very well lol. Jokes aside, they’re really light and so far seem to be pretty rugged and durable. I have some orthopedic issues and am pretty picky when it comes to footwear and I’ve liked these since moment one. That’s a rarity. My suggestion, give ‘em a try.

Bought these for work as we are required to wear an over the ankle, leather upper boot with rubber non skid soles and these fit the bill. I added a waterproof spray and mink oil to them and have been wearing them everyday for about a month. So far, they are holding up well, not causing as much foot fatigue and generally being very comfortable. The biggest drawback so far has been the little eyelets that hold the laces tight destroyed the laces. I replaced them with some heavier duty laces and they seem to be holding up better. I usually get about 6 months from a pair of boots because I usually go about 6 miles a day on concrete and gravel and they just start to fall apart. We will see how these hold up

Habe bereits Boots von Sketchers. Diese hier fallen leider sehr weit und dafür längenmäßig etwas kleiner aus. Auch drückten bei mir im Zehenbereich einige Stellen der Innensohle, so dass Blasen oder zumindest Druckstellen zu erwarten waren, daher leider zurück.

Brought these for my husband as he like sketchers shoes and he wasn’t disappointed very comfortable
