Dumbells in several sizes
I was unsure of what size to buy, so I read quite a few of the Amazon reviews. I have begun going to an aqua exercise class at a health club and wanted to have my own set of aquatic dumbbells because occasionally the ones I wanted to use were all taken. I debated between the small and the medium as I wanted to have some challenge, but not so much that I would be discouraged. It might help to know that I am a "seasoned citizen" and taking these classes to help recover from a pinched nerve. I settled on the medium (green) ones, and am quite satisfied. Although I do get a workout, it is not to the point of having aching muscles later in the day.

These are Perfect!!
Since I do water aerobics at a fitness center, they have stopped providing pool exercise equipment until the pandemic is over. These dumbells work fine for me and I love them.

Decent price, one minor flaw
Surprisingly durable. Bought a pair of the green ones for my wife and after a short amount of use, had to modify them for her. It seems they leave a little too much space between the grip in the center and the end cap. This results in the Styrofoam barbells flopping back and forth during normal use which is very annoying. Fortunately they use generic pvc parts, so I went to my local hardware store, bought two sprinkler system end caps (about $.50 total), cut off the old ones and clued on the new ones with pvc cement, thus making the fit tighter and no more flopping. Still working well for almost a year of almost daily use now.

Just right.
Having never used water dumbells before I had no idea what I was doing. I have, however, used Theraband products and have found them to be very high quality. I have not been disappointed with these. Our pool has the light (red) ones for use as well as another brand. This medium (green) resistance is perfect for me and I see myself going up to the heavier resistance in the future. I have no idea how to tell you how challenging you'll find them....I'm 61 and have been lifting weights for years so I'm not a complete novice. But water weights - a whole different animal. These dry out quickly but you can expect some residual drops if you take them home straight from the pool.

Great aquatic workout product
I have recently put in a pool, not necessarily just for fun. Recently was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. This causes severe pain in hip and knee joints with exercise on hard surfaces. Unfortunately, a sedentary lifestyle also causes problems for the painful joints with weight gain. I heard aquatic exercise was the low-impact way to get moving with no pain. These water dumbbells took a little getting used to as you try to sink them instead of lifting like regular weights, but once I got the hang of it, I found many different exercises that could be done with no impact on my joints. I would recommend this product to anyone suffering from medical conditions requiring aquatic low impact exercising.

Good Resistence !
They are very similar to the more expensive ones my exercise class has at local pool. I am please with them and I can take anywhere to continue my workouts.

A perfect addition for your exercise
I take water aerobics and these weights give a real resistance while in the water. Wonderful work out for my arms.
