Evil Dead II

Evil Dead 2 is adrenaline horror ride full of heart attack moments, which didn't aged at all thanks to fast editing and insane acting performance by Bruce Campbell. I still enjoy the movie but with more rewatches I admire the achieved quality even more. UHD release by Studio Canal provides typically perfect picture and sound (I don't honestly remember any Studio Canal UHD where picture quality would disappoint), it has very funny commentary by original crew and good making of/memories extras from older discs, still relevant with lot of informations. There is also new extra "Blood and Groovy Baby! Tribute to Sam Raimi's Evil Dead 2" with movie fans praising the movie and that was boring. I absolutely recommend this disc.

WEIRD movie, but well made

I’m a dead head.What’s more can be said if you like the dead series but this 2 disc set immediately it will swallow your soul. Hail to the king baby.

Packaging all good and disc. I love this franchise and hadn’t seen the full movie of ED2 but it was such a treat watching with no lights on Friday night! Spoiler alert this film is ahead of its time again throughout the way it’s been filmed. Def added to my collection!

Evil Dead 2 is one of the best horror movies ever and this 4K release is dead good, there is film grain present in some scenes, but the image in ultra-high-definition shows facial details and detail in set pieces that I'd never even noticed on other formats. If you love Evil Dead 2 then 4K is the ultimate way to view it, it looks great. This set also includes a standard Blu-ray of the film and a special features disc. Once you've seen Evil Dead 2 it will always be a firm horror favourite ... and I'd forgotten just how funny it is. /;¬,

(This is a review of the 4K restoration of ED2 not the movie itself) Apart from a few grainy scenes the Evil Dead 2 4K blu-ray is one of the better restorations out there; and the HDR is pretty darn good too. Another strong point with this 4K blu-ray release are the bonus feature, many of which have never been seen outside of this 4K edition. Unfortunately, what brings this release down is the audio quality. Now, I own a Sonos Beam with a Sonos Sub and although I don't have a 5.1 setup I have watched many movies where the audio quality has just amazed me (for example: Bram Stoker's Dracula) but with the Evil Dead 2, the audio quality lacks any real depth, which is a shame because if it matched the quality of the picture itself we could have had something truly special here.

Brilliant film great quality

This StudioCanal release of the Evil Dead 2 is the best release to date, the picture and sound are absolutely brilliant, if you don't have a HD version already, this is a essential purchase. The extras on disc 2 are great also

Sono un FAN del film di lunga data. In tempi adolescenziali avevo perfino il poster appeso alla parte assieme a Freddy e Jason. Questa edizione gli da giustizia. Penso che più di cosi non si riesca a tirare fuori una versione migliore. Si parla di fine anni 80, tanta roba. Audio ottimo, in relazione all età. Campbell è semplicemente in uno stato di grazia assoluta. Assieme a L'armata delle Tenebre, sono i suoi capolavori.

The bonus blu-rays with the extras .will not play on us players. The 4k is excellent!! Great picture.
