PS3 DJ Hero Bundle with Turntable

The game definitely has its high points, and is very creative in its mixes. I'd never think of combining beck with slim shady, but its actually quite awesome. The only problem really is its not as "addictive" as say the other "hero" franchises. I can really only sit and play for maybe 4-8 songs until im done playing for 2 weeks straight. So I guess for some that could be a good thing, if you dont want something that sucks you in.As far as the controller goes, the buttons make sense, and are easily changed if you are left or right handed. I had a defective one that was funky about connecting and staying connected. Amazon was great about the process though, as I have always heard.If you dont know any of the songs on the set list, I'd recommend not buying this game, because if you dont know either of the two songs being mixed, it gets really hard to "feel" the song and somewhat anticipate / predict the next string of notes. But considering that a lot of the songs are pretty popular anyway, shouldn't be an issue on but a few.The mixes are great, a few times I actually "whooped" or said "yea" or something else less lame after playing a set due to the songs sounding great. Oh and also, if one of the songs has explicit lyrics, they cleverly make it so that the other part of the song gets mixed over it or there is a rhythmic stop to cover it over, its really quite cool.

This game was a gamble for me when I purchased. It was pretty expensive (for me at least) so I would have been pretty disappointed if it was not very fun.Not only is DJ Hero very fun, but it is an excellent game for more than one person to enjoy. Whenever I have visitors they can't put the game down, sometimes for hours. The controls are very easy to learn and the different difficulty levels make it so that everyone can play without frustration. The easier levels are perfect for children and the harder levels are almost an endless challenge.The music alone almost makes this game worth the purchase. The bulk of the songs are never before heard mixes. Even if hip-hop isn't your thing, the mix of genres is pretty awesome. From rap, rock, blues, techno, R&B, and so on, there is something that most people will enjoy.I ended up getting the standard version that comes with just the game and turntable, however a friend of mines has the Renegade Edition that comes with a really nice case that also doubles as a turntable stand with telescoping legs so that it can be used while sitting or standing. It may or may not be worth the extra money to go for the Renegade Edition. I manage just fine with using the turntable on a tabletop or even on my lap. Also the Renegade Edition comes with two discs, both with 12 songs each picked by Jay-Z and Eminem.Pros: Easy to learn. Quickly addictive. Tough to master. Downloadable content for virtually endless mixes and set possibilities. Sturdy controller (turntable). Online play. Some songs also playable with guitar from Guitar Hero.Cons: The only con I can think of is that you cannot purchase a second controller as of right now. They only way to play against someone else is for that person to have the game on their own. I'm sure this will change soon though.All things considered, DJ Hero gets five stars from me. It's hard to believe that anyone will not get some sort of enjoyment from this game.

I got this game for my daughter for Christmas. She was excited to get it but when we plugged it in, it wouldn't sync with the PS3. This is the second Christmas in a row that I have bought an activision product that didn't work and needed to be RMA'ed. And both times support was horrible.I went onto the support site listed on the instructions. The support site was somewhat confusing. It wanted me to identify which part was broken. How do I know which part was broken? I picked the part I thought might be the problem and then it asked me which problem I was having. It then told me I needed to replace a different part and instructed me to click continue to order that part. The summary then listed the original part I had picked, so then I was really confused. I later called support, which is extremely hard to do because they work West Coast hours and don't work on any holidays. The guy told me I ordered the wrong part and that I should have used common sense to know which part was broken. I told him I was not the game's creator so how was I supposed to know and he continued to insist I should have known. I almost lost it when he said this, but I was at work so I just let it be. I got home from work that day and the new piece was in the mail. It turns out the piece I thought was broken actually fixed it (the USB dongle). So in the end, their web site told me the wrong piece was broken and so did the guy on the phone.Anyway, if you buy it you are taking a chance on if it will work the first time. If it doesn't, have fun with their support. My daughter loves the game, but she had to wait over a week to play it. I don't think I will be buying anything from activision again.

This game is as fun as can be for any music listner with any hand eye coordination. The music tracks are exceptionally good. Its fun to see how you improve all the time as you play the game. My only complain is that I Purchased the used bundle from amazon and it was shipped quickly but the was missing pieces out of the box. it took 2 weeks and 5 emails before i received any response from customer service and they wanted me to ship it back on my dime so they could ship another one. I cost just as much to just surf craigslist and buy the pieces i was missing but still the issue shouldve been taking care of alot faster than that.
