Overall great!
If you play this is a great guitar to get. It sounds crisp, clear, and overall amazing. The only thing I noticed is that you will need to buy a new pair of strings because the ones that come with it are cheap. I went ahead and purchased a pair of nickel plates Gibson electric guitar strings. But this guitar is definitely worth the money.

Modern take on the LP Jr.
The Gibson LP Jr was originally conceived to be a quality, student-level slab-wood take on the Les Paul design. Like this guitar, it had no carved maple top, no fancy inlays, P90 single coil pickups, and a wrap-around tail piece. That is what you are getting with this guitar. Modern manufacturing techniques and a skilled overseas labor force make this guitar highly affordable and a much better value than the equivalent Gibson made product imho. Are you getting a Gibson for less than $150? No, but love it for what it is. You can rock it out perfectly well. I personally don't care that the neck is a bolt on. I don't think my strats are missing anything for their lack of set-neck. If anything, I find set neck strats to be a little odd- which reflects more upon what peoples' expecations are for various instuments v.s. what is actually an advantageous design. It actually sustains really nicely for a cheapy. This may have more to do with the fact that it's not dipped in thick poly. There are no bells and whistles here- Sort of like a hammer- this is a no-frills tool to be used to make music. The finish is utilitarian but nicely done - the neck has the same comfortable satin feel as the rest of the guitar. The fret ends are smooth but I did notice some fretting out of the notes above the 15th fret. I was able to dial it out by slightly increasing the neck relief and raising the action a hair. I have 9s on it so the action is still reasonable. I wish it had a pickguard. I would prefer that the tuners were higher quality. I also wish this thing did not have a wrap around bridge because I could more precisely intonate an ABR style bridge. That said, I don't expect my perfect dream guitar for $139 shipped. I love how light it feels. What really elevates this guitar are the P90s. IMHO, Epi makes much nicer P90s than humbuckers. You are not getting Lollar quality P90s but the Epis are AlNiCo (not ceramics like many other cheap P90s) and they sound like a P90 should. They are not voiced in an underwound vintage way like Lollars but they have that unmistakable P90 growl. They bark when you drive them and they clean up beautifully when you roll back the volume and tone. I share the opinion that your pickups and amp have more to do with your tone than most of the other variables. These pickups are not begging for a change - not unless you play modern metal- in which case you should be looking at a guitar with humbuckers anyway. What I have noticed with all Epi pickups is that in order to hit the 'sweet spot' you have to back off on the guitar volume- no matter how much dirt your amp is dialed into. They get muddy otherwise, though the P90s have more dynamic range and a sweeter overall sound than their humbuckers. I've been playing guitar since the 70s and have north of twenty of them (yes, my wife thinks I'm insane). This guitar is light years better than what you would get for triple the price in the 1980s. With the proper set up this is a solid guitar and I'm getting much more than the asking price worth of enjoyment out of it.

Great guitar.
I wasn't too thrilled with it at first, but bought it because it was cheap for an electric guitar. After adjusting the bridge to stop the annoying fret buzzing, this guitar is probably my favorite. Has a great feel on the fretboard, and I love the sound of P-90 pickups. It stays in tune pretty well, but you'll have to work it in.

decent guitar, action and tuning a problem
This guitar sounds alright with the P-90s and for the price it's a decent guitar. I wasn't completely enamored by it and sold it after a couple of months though. Like all guitars, it could benefit from a good setup. In particular, the action was quite high when I received the guitar. Also, I had a hard time keeping it in tune. I tried different strings and put graphite in the nut. It helped a little, but it was frustrating to have to tune it after every few minutes.

Very happy with this purchase.
Very happy with this purchase and would recommend. I've played guitar for years but don't play that often. I did not want to invest a lot into an electric guitar because of my lack of time to play guitar. Exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this product.

Wrong product but good customer service
I received a guitar with humbucking pickups rather than the advertised P90s. The seller offered to refund the purchase and made every effort to ensure I was satisfied. Thank you.

Cannot change intonation.
I really like this guitar. I got it through Guitar Center. I wanted a cheap electric guitar because I was getting back into playing and my fingers had grown too soft to play my acoustic comfortably for long sessions. In the beginning it came set up well enough and played great. I've had it for several months now. My fingers have some nice callouses and I still prefer to play this guitar over my other (also cheap) acoustic. It is Plugged in it sounds pretty good too. However, now I have started to notice that my A string has started to go sharper than it should as I go up the frets. There is no way to change the intonation on this guitar. So from what I can gather, I need to get a new bridge that is adjustable in order to fix this. This is why I take a couple stars off, because otherwise I really like this guitar.Being my first electric, and being relatively new to playing, I didn't know about this issue when I bought it. So if you're looking into this guitar, I would recommend looking at an adjustable bridge/tailpiece, and adding the price of that to the price of this guitar when comparing it to other guitars.

Requires constant re-tuning,
Requires constant re-tuning, strings are cheap,6 th string subject to buzz, the whole thing sounds tinny, ok to practice chord changes but i wouldnt play it publicly, just a bit of fun , I'll stick to my accoustic guitars
