Exceeded my expectations
I was a bit skeptical about how well this would work at first but once I found the right frequency it sounds like my phone (which I play my music through) is plugged directly into my car stereo, no static, clear sound. It's best if you turn the volume on your phone/music player all the way up and then just control the volume from your car stereo. If you live in the Seattle area, 105.7 is the frequency I use and I've never had any issues with the signal or static or anything like that. I even drove all the way to Cle Elum and it still worked perfectly. I also got a small strip of velcro and attached it to my dash so I could stick the display/button controls to my dash so it doesn't swing around while I'm driving. I love that the plug also has a USB port so I can still charge my phone at the same time.

The BEST Solution for Older Cars and Traveling!
As the title says, my car is a bit older, it's a 2004 and is equipped with a radio and 6-disc cd player aside from the cd player built into the radio itself. This has been on my wishlist for a while as I had one for my old 30-pin iPhone 4s but have since upgraded to the 6s and was no longer able to use it. For under $15 with prime shipping this transmitter is a complete steal. The USB Charger within the power adapter is great to allow you to charge your phone while using it with the aux input to play whatever you want. I tend to use the 80-something station channels as the lower the station to lower the station frequency and therefore works perfectly for a little transmitter like this without much interruption or static. Definitely recommend for those like me who want to change what they listen to the car with whatever their mood connects with for the day, Pandora, Amazon Prime Music, and even 8 Tracks have been my new companions in the care, and are a lot easier than having to make new cds constantly or having to scan through the radio commercials for actual music.

It works, Cheap. I'm mostly satisfied
For what this is, and how cheap it is - I'm happy with the results. It provides mediocre sound quality when transmitting music to the car's radio. Easy to use, seems sturdy & built fairly well. People tell me the speakerphone sounds ok, but I bring the mic (on the FM display piece) close to my voice. Tune to FM frequencies that are blank or full static and the sound quality will be best. I would compare the sound quality to 128kbps audio bitrate. CD quality is 320kbps, much clearer sound. This device requires me to turn up the volume quite a bit.If it holds up for a few years I will be happy with the purchase. It gets the job done but my audiophile side yearns for better sound quality that only a direct line can provide.(Bluetooth sounds better than this FM transmitter, but our cars don't have that feature so we make do)

IF I CAN INSTALL IT, ANYONE CAN!
I bought this for my husband's Toyota Tacoma that does not have an audio jack. I had never used an FM transmitter before so I searched online for information about it. I learned that it requires an unused FM channel in order to prevent interference. I live in New Mexico so I searched online for a list of all FM channels in the state. I quickly saw that 93.1 is a frequency that is not used at all. It was a simple matter to "install" the device. Just plug it in, turn on your FM radio, set it to the desired unused frequency and then set the wireless FM transmitter to the same frequency. Holding down the right or left arrow button will speed it up in getting to the desired frequency. Plug the audio output into your iPod or phone or MP3 player and the sound comes through your car speakers. Easy and it works!

So happy to be able to listen to Pandora AND have a slot to charge my phone!
UPDATE:Stopped working just over a year after purchase. Pretty upset. There seems to be a connection issue with the part that plugs into the vehicle. It goes in and out and when it does work the reception is horrible no matter what station I set it out. When I first got it the quality was great, but it has gone downhill over time. It is now not usable as it goes on and off at least every 30 seconds during use, making the radio function and charging function (when I hard a charger cable plugged in) useless.LOVE my FM Transmitter, this thing has finally allowed me to actually be able to listen to the music I want to in my car since I don't have a CD player. It really is a high quality product and I love that there are two USB ports so that I can plug my iPhone charging cable in as well- this was a huge flaw in my previous transmitters that my phone would die while trying to listen to music- now I don't have to worry about that! I've had this for months now and it still works great- definitely recommend! The only thing I wish they had was a way to change the song on the cable or something, instead of me having to do it on my phone (since that requires unlocking). The buttons on the device only change the radio station.

First Unit: Terrible static and noise, 2nd Unit: Clear as can be, great customer service.
*Updated Review*We had an FM transmitter I loved, but had to use an adapter and I was tired of it. We purchased this because of all the great reviews and I am shocked. There is constant static and sound when using this. I have literally tried every station from 88-107 and never found a clear station. I'm back to using my old one with an adapter. I know it can't be where I live, as my other one is crystal clear. I'm not sure why this one didn't work for us.________I was contacted by the manufacturer based on my review above. They asked if I would be willing to try a different product to see if it made a difference. I was impressed by their customer service--they came to me, I didn't even complain to them directly. I received the new unit yesterday and it is a completely different experience--nice, clear transmission. Also, I am impressed with a company that cared so much about my individual experience that they did so much at their expense to give me a better experience. Well done!
