I'd left it in the packaging for a while, as I hadn't needed to use it yet, but I finally needed to use it fix an issue with my TV. Worked well. Comes with everything you need (solder, solder sucker, stand). Heats up quite quickly; the manual suggests calibrating the temperature, but it's probably "close enough" out of the box. I wouldn't mind if the temperature went up past 480°F, but with the power of heater it's using, if you're having trouble you should probably be using a different tip. About the only thing that would make it better would be stand/clamps that could attach to the base unit!Update: Had the first heater core burn out after not very many uses (I solder only occasionally). A bit disappointed, as it hadn't really seen that much use. The second core it came with is still working fine.

It's not real time, but at least it works.

Heats up quickly and works well for heavier soldering jobs.

It's great having everything in one place and one station. It works very well and I would buy another one if this one fails.
