Swash SFF1000CSA Express Clothing Care System, Shadow

Really good for what I use it for. Use it mostly to steam shirts and pants to get them nice. Too lazy to iron most of the time. You can reuse the pods and just fill them with water. I after getting things out of the dryer just put it in. Spray some de-wrinkling spray and fill a used pod with some tap water. Comes out looking neat in 10 or 15 minutes depending on how you set the timer. If you expect this thing to get stains out than you will be disappointed. Only thing it does is spray your garment with water and than blow and steam whatever is inside. Mostly used to refresh things or if you went somewhere that people were smoking and want to get the smell out. Still I knew what I was getting and recommend it.

Hearing about this Express Clothing Care System I was elated, even upon receiving it. However, as I read the warning in the swash quick start guide, my excitement started changing. This is so because it states that "This product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer. Also this Product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm". I was really shocked, disappointed, unhappy all sorts of different negative emotions flooded me. I am now afraid of the machine even to get close to it. I have not even tried the machine to know whether or not it's working. I am contemplating to get rid of it out of my house. My concern is, if there is a product that can shorten your life span why offer it to the public for sale, also why not state it online about it's harmful potentials. I really need some answers.

It's very tall and very heavy, so make sure you have a place for it. When it runs it makes noise, but it's quieter than my washer/dryer. It smells like fresh laundry when running. It got the wrinkles out of my husband's button down shirt. That's all I've tried so far. You have to make sure to clip the shirt in well, so it steams every part of your clothing. There is a reservoir in the back that you need to be able to access because you have to dump the fluid in the sink after each use. I wasn't aware I would need to access the back of the machine, so I had to get creative with the location. I wish they'd put the reservoir in the front, so you could push the back to the wall. You should also make sure there is a sink nearby, so you can empty the reservoir.

Delivery: The product arrived 7 days late and did not look exactly new: the front and back panels looked very dusty. Packaging was fine and the UPS staff helped me bring it into my house.Product:Design: As others have stated before: this machine is huge. One should also keep in mind that at least two feet clearance are necessary in order to clip the sleeves behind shirts. If you are planning to keep it in small closet, it probably will not work. The buttons (actually sensors) are also kind of strange and do not respond very well to touch.Performance: It does not do a very good job of taking out wrinkles (the main reason I purchased it) and if not clipped perfectly, it will actually create wrinkles where the clips hold the cloth. Some spots were noticed around the collar area of the shirt, which means the liquid in the pods is not exactly being nebulized properly. It doesn't do a very good job of freshening either, rather it infuses the garment with whatever scents are in the pod. It emits too much "scent" in my opinion and the smell lingers for at least an hour in a well ventilated room. They do have a Sensitive pod which is not as heavily scented, but the rest of the pod scents are too strong.Overall: Swash does not do as much as I expected. It is somewhat difficult to use, does not do a very good job of taking out wrinkles and is only decent at freshening. It is nowhere as good as taking it to the dry cleaners (I understand this is not its stated purpose--but what is its purpose then?) both in respect to its dewrinkling ability and its freshening powers. In the time that you run one cycle you could iron two shirts and they would come out much better. I thought this machine would make my life a little easier but the technology is just not there yet. I will be returning it.

Works great. I am a little annoyed that it arrived in perfect packaging but some trim at the bottom was smashed. I placed a warranty service call and it was ruled ineligible because the damage was "cosmetic". I spent a lot of money on a brand new unit that came with damage. I am not impressed with the service. (although the service technician was great!) You should not have to accept "cosmetic" damage on a product at this price point. Pods are expensive, but I knew that going into the purchase. Pods price makes this a not everyday use item.

Love this machine don’t care what anyone saysI saved so much money on gas and paying for dry cleaning so far I’ve had it for a year and still works great for me it does not clean stains that’s what a clothes washer is used for but it does a hell of a job ironing your clothes and makes them look new and freshI usually spray clothes with water before using and when I’m out the lil packs thing u put in i usually just use an old one and fill it with waterDown part is it only good for one item at a time but I’m still giving it 5 stars for the gas and money I savedJust go for it it’s well worth buying 👌

I got this as a gift for my husband over two years ago and he still uses it every day!! He claims he couldn't imagine not having it.Sometimes a random light will blink but we've never had to read the manual except for certain garment safety. The bungee clips are quite tense so finer fabrics will get distorted, but this is an everyday lifesaver for most of our clothing!
