Frusticated
Five star for great product, one star for mismatcheddar and mislabeled product, bought 2 timing Gates timing belts for honda goldwing which requires 2 matching belts and got 1 gates t070 and one dayco with another number, both of which came in gates t070 boxes. The dayco number is correct for application but made in Italy whereas the gates made in usa. This wouldn't be a problem if it where a one belt engine. But not going to risk different wear due to possible size and rubber compound differences. I want a matching set. So I'm going to eat the cost of dayco belt and go to local store for overpriced gates belt made in USA at same plant. I didn't realize this until going to install belts today, like I said both belts came in gates boxes...... but product quality looks good. LolI do know they both will work on goldwing but not risking mismatch on my engine.

Gl1200
Just set them on my 87 gl1200. Perfect fit. Nice and tight. Seem to be well made. Definitely a little thicker than the OEM belts that were on the bike previously. Only gave 4 stars because I haven't actually run them yet. Waiting for parts to finish my alternator conversion. Came pretty fast and definitely a good price. I chose these belts because all the forums and shops rave about THESE BELTS as the ONLY belt to use on the early model gl's. (Goldwings). Ask any questions

Fit my 86 GoldWing GL1200 perfectly
didn't check but I'm sure I saved at least a hundred bucks over dealership price. pretty easy to install, remove lower fairings, remove radiator, remove belt covers. before you loosen any belts mark a clear spot (white paint marker) on the tooth of each belt with the matching groove on each pulley.do this on the tension side of the belt, not the idler pulley side. remove the first belt to get a better mark on the belt below it on the crank pulley. I've done many timing belts on cars and don't know why people make it sound so complicated with lining timing marks up and all. of course this wouldn't work if the belt is broken but that would be the least of your problems. also you may want to replace radiator hoses now if they are as old as mine were. this Dayco 70808 hose has the right bend and provides ample straight lengths to do the upper and lower. just cut to fit. but the hose a little fatter making it a little hard to reuse the oem clamps, but it can be done. and good luck getting the covers back on with the rubber gaskets in place, you might glue them on the covers first but I managed with a few tries to get it. now just waiting for warm weather!
